Windshield tint lens effect

I got my new Jettas windshield tinted with Clear comfort 70% Ceramic and there's a strong lens effect. I can't get it on camera but it looks like tons of diagonal lines, not visible, but they're like a lens that bend what you're looking at like lane lines. It hurts my eyes.

 

It's strongest at the bottom. Is this the brand or installer or normal? Should I try a removal and try a different brand and installer?

If the effect wasn't there prior to film, then IMO you need another brand.

Could be the windshield itself and you just notice it now.... talk to the shop that tinted it......

That's possible too or the film exaggerated it

More likely to be the glass than the film.

After working in the autoglass industry for many years you see lots of cases of what you're describing.

Film wouldn't be thick enough to be the source of the visible bending that you can see.

Probably the glass itself. Seen this on a lot of windshields.
