what you want to do is turn all of the knobs down on the amp then on your CD player put all the bass options up and turn the radio up to about 80%. then go back to the sub and slowly turn up the gain until the subs get distorted then immediately turn back the gain settin a fraction of a smidgen, just a little bit (if distortion is not gone yet turn back a little further) then to get the bass out of your subs turn up the bass boost and low pass filter. and since you are running a ported box (if you stay in the 28-30 htx range) you won't need to turn up your subsonic at all. then turn down your stereo to normal listening volume and enjoy (if you hear distortion when you turn up your bass boost and low pass turn your gain down a little bit) then you should be fine
