Opinions about V-kool from dealers

1. Installation will test your skills in water removal... the stacks of silver deposition required to produce this product create a serious vapor barrier... much squeegee work...

2. Quality is there... for what you are paying for the product you think they would sacrafice on quality in other components... do side is the PS adhesive used in residential settings... possible edge corrosion if not sealed when installed in geo locations of corrosive air (coastal regions).

3. This question can only be answered through your sales skills...

No I don't sell or install this product... but I can input on it from what I do know. :thumb

I have to weigh in on one other issue, though.

With films of that expense, you have to be EXTREMELY carefull how you price it and how you install.

This is because waste and mistakes can whittle your profit down to sub-tolerable levels very quickly.

To illustrate:

film "A" costs $1.00 per square foot: window to install is 15 square feet, cost : $15.00

film "B" costs $4.00 per square foot: Same window, cost: $60.00

Now, if you price that window @ cost of film + cost of labor + overhead, then:

film "A" might be priced like this: $15.00 for film + $30.00 for labor + $15.00 for overhead. TOTAL = $4.00/square foot.

film "B" would be: $60.00 for film + $30.00 for labor + $15.00 for overhead. TOTAL = $7.00/square foot.

THEN, you can see how with film "B", you could end up with negative numbers in a short period of time if you make very many mistakes at all. This is why you must price films like this in the $12.00/square foot + range.

PLUS, you MUST factor in waste or else the same thing can happen.

I hope this makes sense.
