On the Cayenne, you need to pull the top part of the door panel back...it has a metal lip that sits on the top of the door. No clips or screws or anything, but its pretty tight. Once this is away from the window about an inch, it gives easy access the the rubber which you can pull up using a hook.

I did a cayenne and I struggled with that rubber...it was tight and was easily mis-shapen on removal.

I have another to do on Friday and wonderd if there is the possibility of using the gasket wizard or something similar.

Maybe OT can enlighten me as he seems to have done them.

Can anybody give me a heads up on pulling the panels??

Thanks

On my second one I pulled the panels rather than struggling to get out the rubber rubrail, it's a big old tight rub rail on this model and it makes it that little bit easier. The panels are tight but luckily I had my bojo tools to hand and this allowed me remove them with no damage at all. Here they are

If you just try and pull the rail out with a hook tool it will come out all bent and be a right pain to get back neatly. If you lift one end and slide it out rather than pulling it up it makes life easier when refitting it.

Here's the finished article
