Hey guys, I own a 2004 VW R32 (Deep Blue Pearl). I have some swirls in my paint that I would like to get removed and I am thinking my paint may need a minor wet sanding. What do you guys think? The marks are not really anything out of the ordinary however this is a show car and I am very nit picky about my paint but know very little about detailing.

Does anyone know of a good shop in the NJ area that would be able to work on my car??? I have looked everywhere but have come up with nothing and the guy that used to work on my other car moved out of the area....

Thanks in advance guys!!! :thumb

you state one thing, then turn around and state another. :thumb

my advice, don't give the detail guys your opinion, just tell them what you want done and let them do their job.

check around, ask friends, and call some places. then, when you have some prices, throw away the cheaper ones and pick one of the more expensive guys. there's a reason why their more expensive. :thumb

Thats the thing, I have asked around to everyone I know and most people tell me of the 1-2 places I have already tried previously with other cars and their work was sub par. I dont mind paying high prices as long as the work is good.

So I am out of options, hope you guys can help.

then look for a customizing shop, one that does custom paint. places that paint harley's and/or show cars. if they can't help you, they can probably send you somewhere that can help.

Skip the wet sanding on a 04 ..just have a pro microcompound the spider webbing and glaze out the swirl and put a good paint sealant on 125 to 150 should get you done...you will have these again on down the road from hand washing again so I would suggest Pro yellow wax ...this will fill in the spider webbing when they start to appear after 3 or so hand washes.. 15.00 gets you about 12 wax jobs. save your buff money for when you sell it :uh I have read Meguires newest polish NFX XFN :lol or some 3 letter crap hides these very well also and can buy at auto parts store :uh Show car huum..Zaino is an option too!
