I always say that the best tinter is the one who fixes his mistakes, not the one who never makes any(since that doesn't exist).

Since retiring from full-time tinting I don't obsess over the install... just get it done and if there is an issue with any of it, I remedy with no argument. :spit

I'm still pretty new to the tinting business, so I still make alot of mistakes, but I learn from every one of them. I'm not that fast yet, but I've gotten pretty good at fixing screw-ups. I won't let a car go if I'm not satisfied because that work you just did is some of the best advertising you can get. :thumb just curious, how long does the average 4 door car take? I just finished a 4 door honda accord, and it took me about 4.5 hours total. I think that sucks. :spit

No comment. Seems everybody said it for me.........

Well, I digress. In the restaurant business sometimes they say, "If you wouldn't eat it, don't expect that the customer will."

Same for my tinting business. Glad that there's lots of tinters out there like that. :spit

Utterly amazing! I can knock out a 4 door in under an hour. How many times have the egos on here posted that? If you can knock out a 4 door, any 4 door, from start to finish BY YOURSELF in an hour you can not possibly be all that worried about the quality. Sorry if anybody gets offended by that. I can knock out an easy 4 door in 2 hours on a day when all of the tint gods are smiling down on me but normally I take my time and do it right because I learned a long time ago that one bad comment is worth at least ten good ones. My final inspection on my work takes at least 10 minutes. I check everything two to three times before I let it go. I think some of the posters on here only talk about time in car with tint in hand. I am talking about pulling it in, prepping the car, cutting the tint (can't afford the plotter yet) heat shrink, application, re-assembly if needed, final cleaning, and inspection.

Your very accurate phrase of "knock a car out in an hour" describes exactly the difference between "a work of art" and something that looks stuck on.

To verify that too, you only have to look at what is charged for a knock out. It never comes close to a 4 hour job.

I'm not flamin' just getting it into perspective.

Great line from the Johnnie Walker scotch TV ad......"Is it the scotch you want to drink or the scotch you want to take home?"

You people are a trip. Yes I have very high standards for my work, but I can still do a 4 door car in about an hour. And yes I do 5 to 8 cars a day BY MYSELF!!! Damn--
