Just thought I'd share how I cover the trunk lid while shrinking back glass.

I use drawer Liner (soft foam , wont slip off) and place it over the trunk lid.

So no worry about leaning over the trunk and scratching it with a blue jean button or whatever.

Cheap enough.Lowes has 5' rolls for $3.99 :spit

Just thought Id share.

I believe this one was covered a long time ago :evilgrin

If I'm wrong , then good tip ..I've been using a cheap blanket for years ..just pin it on each side of the trunk, then close it so it doesn't slide off onto the shop floor..+ you can lay tools on the blanket without worry of paint. I have 2 ..one for the trunk , one for the feet for inside new vehicles when loading in the back glass :dunno

Right.

It stays in place, nice and foamy so you can lay your tools on it.
