im sure we all do this

when heating fingers on the glass, after install

I noticed that I can heat the glass "not to extremely hot" and then shock it with water to cool it back down with my hard card holding the finger down. it seems to me that this helps by cooling it back down?

I will ask how many of us use this technique?

very similar....a finger will actually suck itself down if you heat it out and then cool it a lot of the time....

thats cool! I havent seem that yet? well ive seen the sun do it if its a finger that has water trapped in it w/ no air..

I wouldnt do that too much though.my last tinter kept doing it til he broke a backglass,cost me more than the job.I kept warning him too.

I call it "shocking" the tint. I do it all the time. heat, push, spray. I do it it without pushing it down when its on the back glass where its hard to reach.

I wonder how that would work on a thicker film; a larger thermal barrier???
