I thought I would add a couple of extra tips on this car that came to mind since I just got tinting 2 of them.

-Seals on doors easily remove out once removing 1 torx bolt per door hidden underneath the trim.
-After replacing the 3rd brake light , bend the metal tabs down slightly to make it easier to slide back into place.
    - double up your mounting concentrate for bg as it floats into place much better.
    - remove the side pillars for the bg foe easier installation. They come out quite easy and it's worth it for the extra wiggle room .

I'm an older Tinter and did my 1st one of these yesterday . Easy easy easy . Don't get the issues. Back panel pulls all off in seconds. All side doors , seals pull out in seconds :

TintWizard reacted to DynamicATL in Does attending Car shows/events as a vendor pay off?
We have done it all from small local meets to big events.  The smaller meets a good because they are usually free...so even if you get 1-2 customers out of it, it could be worth it.  Keep in mind though, a good portion of the people that goes to these shows are there because it is free...so usually no big spenders there.  The bigger shows can be expensive and usually do not have a return on investment.  You have to calculate how many new customers you need to attract to pay you back the investment so you could actually turn a profit.  If that number is unlikely, then usually not worth it.  We no longer do them because I would rather invest that money in online advertising that reaches a much broader customer base and brings me more customers.

Don't forget to overcompensate the distance away from the rear defrost . You'll be surprised when you lay it up on the inside of the glass how much closer it will get to the defrost bar. A pain if you have to cut extra out after the fact. I use to tint lots of these in the day when they were new from the dealership. agreed with heating the dovetail and do yourself a favour and sand the black lines for a bit better bond

Heads up to panel pullers. This car is easy to tint but if your a tinter that likes to either remove the bottom gasket or pull back panels, you will most likely have to pull the panel. If you pull the panel, you have to pry the trim around the door opener latch carefully as it is easy to break the tabs. Best way is to take the smallest mini screw driver and work your way around to depress all the tabs (here's a pic of one off so you don't have to guess where the tabs are on the hidden side) :
Also, when taking off the mirror cover off the 2 front panels be VERY careful or you will be repairing 1 or 2 plastic clips on the other side. Very poor design for taking off. If you pry it upward, then outward, this will release the top portion of the triangle. Then pry inward toward the inside of the car, that will release the second part of the plastic clip. Finally just pull back with will allow the plug to come free.
Hope this saves someone some grief . Easy car to tint though

I proved a theory I had years ago and this seems like an appropriate place to post it.
Outside of physical damage ( running over a heatgun, dropping it, etc) I figured out what the number 1 issue was for going through cheap heatguns so fast: it was when doing back windows. It's turned on too long for a back window . About 10 yrs ago I bought 4 guns for the shop. 1 for the left side , 1 for the right side of the car and 2 guns permanently strapped together for the back window. With each gun not getting "too much use" , they last much much longer than just 4x as long. The average time a back window takes for me to shrink is about 3min. With the dual guns. It's my thought that when a cheap gun runs into say 5 min or more, the gun takes the most internal beating thereby frying itself much earlier than need be.
10 yrs later, the original 2 guns strapped together for back windows are the cheaply Wagners and still running strong.
This isn't to convert people but rather just showing what I think killls a cheap heatgun

All I know is I went from hating doing brows to now it feels like free money. No more lights to set up on the inside of the car, no step stools on rack side of the car, you don't have to even spray the outside or prep the outside of the windshield if you don't want too, just prep, luck and stick. I've come across the odd one that doesn't fit , when I do, I just fix it with the software provided or phone in the adjustment if its one that can be described

I haven't gone on too much about the slime after initially using it because of how many Film On concentrates I still have left in inventory I have to use up what I already paid for HOWEVER I did whip up another batch of slime solution the other day because if the high temps we are into for a back window solution and have to say once all my Film On in gone, I will be a sole user of Tint Slime. Very user friendly , way to go Guardian !Just a thought : a separate pinned thread dedicated strictly to a tinter's sprayer capacity to ratio of slime so that others can have a reduced "learning curve" and have a quicker positive experience once they compare the sprayer container size they own to that of a happy Tint Slime customer

Softwater fishing is my stronger suit but I just took up icefishing again since I was a kid so I have all new equipment and live in the walleye icefishing capital of the country . We have guides here that guarantee a good outing of fish. I was thinking of doing that this yr and learn lots from the pros .
    Come on up!
