  1. here is a link to the Chevy Nova that I tinted. novahttps://m.facebook.com/logged_out/watch/?video_id=2655626824469418&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&refid=52&_rdr
  2. have you tended this have you tended this Nova yet? I just did one about a month back and could give you a ton of tips. It's way too much to try to type out in this forum. Each window other than the Roll-Ups has its own difficulties. If you'd like some tips give me a call at my shop 209-762-3495
  3. Every time it leaves the glass it gets dipped off with a microfiber towel.
  4. Just so everyone knows. This is still a problem on the 2019 CLA 250. Just did one and I'm having the same problem. :/ It's for the dealership. time to give them a call. I wish it was just for a customer.
  5. Also make sure to wipe down the rear view mirror and all around where it attaches to the glass. I normally spray there area down really well before my final cleaning of the windshield.
  6. Thats a tough one. Sometimes I've been able to use a driver that is for a different plotter to make one of mine work. All depends on the software. This is what I did with an older version of flexisign when I had a new plotter that the program didn't have drivers for. Flexi also had so generic drivers if I remember correctly. Maybe your software does as well. Never used design art.
  7. (209) 762-3495 We're finally open! So come on in and see us. We're still working on signage and displays but were here and ready for more work. Here are the latest pictures of the shop. Things are coming along! Tinting - automotive, commercial, residential. Paint Protection Film (Clear bra) We're located at 1155 E. Bianchi Rd. Stockton, CA 95210 http://www.EncoreWindowTinting.com
  8. Or just turn the a/c in the car on whilie you tint it.
  9. Thank you for the info. The shop floor is a leggari kit. Man..... it was a lot of prep work (and $)! But in the long run I think it'll be worth it. It sure looks good when I take pictures of completed cars on it (for the website and socail media).
  10. Thank you for the reply! 👍
  11. Thank you everyone for the replys! I understand about tinting window illegally. doing it or not is a huge dilemma in my area. Back when I was working for my uncle there was a period of about two to three years where we were not tinting front windows illegally. I watched about 40% of our business walk out the door and go to another shop because they were willing to tint the fronts illegally.
  12. Is anyone on this page willing to share their work order forms or even just the wording? As we get closer to our opening date, it one if the more important things on my list to get done. We're in California. I've been doing this for 20 years now, but not for myself. I have a pretty good idea about what fields and customer info I need. Not that I'm not open to some good ideas! On your work order, how do you go about asking your customers about facebook friending, tagging and posting of their vehicle, home or business? Thank you! 👍
  13. Can I get a copy of this catalog as well?
  14. I've found some ok information on Google but I'm wondering if anybody out there would be willing to share their work order and the text that's included with it as far as the customer agreement / release of liability part is concerned? I'm in california. I'm in the process of buying a building to open my shop in. We'll be doing tinting; automotive, residential and commercial. As well a PPF. Also does anyone have a customer waiver for tinting windows darker than what's legal or for tinting windshields (please read below if you're thinking about replying with a snarky comment about tint illegally ). Thank you in advanced to anyone that is willing to share their information with me. If you would prefer not to make it public on this site please PM me and I can give you an email address or my phone number. I know this has always been a sensitive subject on this site. I understand both sides. After 20 years in the industry I've come to understand that you can only let so many customers walk out the door because you're unwilling to tint front windows illegally before you see it largely affecting your bottom line. I also understand that there's a major liability and it only takes one lawsuit to end your business and everything you've worked so hard to build.
  15. Very well established high quality shop in Stockton, CA looking for a tinter / ppf installer. This is my uncles shop and I'm moving on to do other things. We started tinting in 1998. The tint shop was an addition to the stereo shop. The tint shop is busy and you would be part of a team. At this time my uncle employs two full-time tinters and myself. With the stereo side he employs a total of 8 people. I'm down to 1-2 days a week installing ppf (due to being busy with my own projects) but I need to move on. So, we're looking for my replacement (tint and ppf full-time). Great pay, medical benefits, clean dedicated tint/ppf shop, central heat and air, plotter cutter........... If you are good at you job and would like to work at a high caliber shop, contact me. I can answer questions, accept resumes or put you in touch with the owner. Brent call or text 209-727-2111
