  1. Leo is still around building armored luxury cars in Riga! He is also running his vodka museum ✊
  2. The pictures show some pretty big gaps. I use a plotter program called Computer Cut and the model 3 patterns don’t leave gaps but all cut programs are different. Ask your tinter to hand cut the doors and be careful with the back window as removing the film can cause the defrost lines to come off. Since this is the job you got ask if they will cover the rest of the rear window with a second piece. Won’t look as good as the whole thing in one piece but least you won’t run the risk of losing the defroster. I’ve seen lots of those windows tinted up to the top where Tesla has the factory shade but that job doesn’t go that far. If you leave it like it is it will probably not make a difference in the glass breaking but those windows break easy without any film on um ✊
  3. Has anyone tinted the back window of the 2023 S90 and am I missing something? Did one today and headrest didn’t seem to come off or seats fold down. Ended up looking great but what a hassle!
  4. Wanted to say hello to everyone since it’s been awhile since I visited the best place on the internet for tinting! Hope everyone is having a great start to the season and doing well! Life has been crazy complicated for me lately but that comes with age! cheers stan
  5. Hi Rick, all good here! Haven’t seen you forever. Teaching a class this week and day 4 wanting to show the RYK way to shrink!!! will get with you next week and catch up on what’s happening. I gotta start hanging out here again and get away from the drama of FB junk!!!!!
  6. Can anyone help me find a link to the Riker shrink?
  7. I am looking for a full time or part time auto window tinter in the Portland Oregon area. Easy going, established, busy shop with great pay and working conditions. Most all work is cut with plotter but of course hand cut is ok also. 5 days a week with Saturday optional 💯 Contact Stan or Alexia 503 671 9615 cheers Stan Foster, Alexia Foster
  8. Dang, hate to hear they are gone. We will probably see a few more re-boxers disappear in the near future with the boom in numbers / names the last couple years.
  9. That’s what I was gonna ask I think most times when people say Global is failing they are using a Garware product but not Global.
  10. @Stewy if you decide to go Global I can get you the 10% discount from training. You going to be at SEMA this year?
  11. I’ve used the six inch unger for close to 40 years. Make the black blade so it hangs over the end of the channel about 3/8 inch so you don’t possibly scratch the top of some door panels. The Fusion Soft Pink Clean in a handee handle is great also if you don’t like the unger.
  12. Todd, I haven’t been on Tintdude lately and saw this post. I’m in Portland (Beaverton) if you’re up this way stop at Alexias window tinting and say hello! cheers
  13. I was reading last week where a trainer from XPEL said to squeegee the window except matrix along top, leaving solution under matrix. Then to use a torch to “boil” the application solution before hard carding the area. I haven’t tried this.... anyone use this method? I’m afraid of melting the film. cheers
