PPF on Screens, interior trim
XPEL Jeff replied to sorinnn1's topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
XPEL's Design Access Program has patterns for PPF interior kits which include screen coverage. The software also allows you to create custom sized rectangles with radiused corners to create your own screen kits. We have customers preloading this on thousands of cars a year at dealerships. If you reached out to XPEL, you should hear back from a sales rep soon. -
PPF INSTANT HEALING
XPEL Jeff replied to Knight Skin's topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
While instant healing is impressive to watch, in terms of function, it doesn’t really make much of a difference if your film heals instantly or a couple minutes later on your drive home. In both instances they are healed before you park your car in the garage. the most important factor is the long term performance and durability. -
Reasonable time
XPEL Jeff replied to Doitright!!!!'s topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
You need a rep to come in and explain these things to a dealership. Are you in New Braunfels? -
@djgarrett21, those spots will go away. Just keep them out of direct sunlight on hot days and allow them to evaporate at their own speed. Generally they should go away in an hour or so, but that can vary greatly due to the level of moisture, as well as the humidity and temp. Keep in mind that our clear coat is very thick, which is great for durability, but also makes moisture evaporate more slowly.

Unacceptable PPF Install HELP
XPEL Jeff replied to joeexotic's topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
You should expect better and should definitely ask for a refund and have them pay to have the paint cuts fixed. If they refuse, contact SunTek to see if they can help influence the shop to do the right thing. Once that process is done, please let me know if I can help you find a different installer in your area. -
Help! New PPF Installation issues
XPEL Jeff replied to scrazee's topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
When working with large surface areas like a full car, some of these issues are bound to happen from time to time. The installer should take care of those issues for you. -
Hourly rate + 10% of the total ticket. Installer only makes hourly if the car comes back for any redos. This pay plan has incentive for them to work quickly, but also to do quality work. If an installer in knocking out two retail full fronts per day, they are going to bring home about $129k annually and bring you over a million in revenue. Good for both parties.

2021 jag f type patterns
XPEL Jeff replied to GETITDONE!'s topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
We (XPEL) have them for the 2021 Jag F-Type R in both the coupe or convertible. Not sure what series yours is though. -
I’ve worked for XPEL for 15 years and can verify that this is a typical price from a well-experienced installer.

Who here has had issues with Suntek PPF?
XPEL Jeff replied to PaintPro's topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
The issue pictured is an installation technique issue rather than a film defect. -

PPF on Natural Stone
XPEL Jeff replied to ElementShield's topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
It all depends on the application. If you install it on a residential marble kitchen counter top it'll last longer than if it was installed on a commercial bar top where there may be wine spilled on it every day and never cleaned off. -
PPF Software with Edge Wrap function/option/tool
XPEL Jeff replied to a topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
XPEL Design Access Program has that functionality. You can extend the most commonly wrapped edges with a couple of mouse clicks or ANY edge with a little more effort. -
PPF on Natural Stone
XPEL Jeff replied to ElementShield's topic in Paint Protection Film, Clear Bra Forum
Absolutely. There's an existing market for this. We've actually got an antimicrobial film that we primarily use in this application being that it is usually near food prep areas.
