  1. Hi

I've noticed recently that the Silver 20 I use has lines running through it, initially I thought it related to the peel board but on the last job I examined it closer and realised it is in the roll. It also looks bad when viewed externally in the attached picture making everything in the reflection distorted. I'm in the process of referring it back to my supplier but wondered if anyone has come across this before? A couple of windows I did towards the end of last year are still showing some lines.

In one of the pictures the lines are over to the left and were slightly more pronounced.

    Thanks

    Rob

  2. Any cheapo set will do the job, I tend to use the flat rectangle one. when it clogs up just run the blade up and down it to clean off the old pieces of film. With the set you can pick the ones you feel more comfortable using.

Homebargains, B&Q, not worth buying anything fancy.

  3. You should be able to gently unstick it, stay close to the glass if using a blade as there is normally a bit of exposed circuit board that can be easily damaged glass side. Normally when changing the screen you just unstick it and restick to the new glass, quite common on BMW's.

  4. It's a defogging sensor. Here's the spec from my glass suppliers online.
