  1. Not arguing with that at all but that's every industry as far as downsizing. I've spoke to several that have grown to that magnitude and they say they made just as much when they were a one man band. I don't plan on adding a bunch of employees but I will go the direction my customers take me.
  2. You're comparing apples to oranges with asbestos and window tint. However I just tinted a home for a removal and inspection company that has grown and done very well in that industry. To say the window tint industry is declining is completely asinine. No I haven't been doing this since the 80's but I've seen nothing but growth in my business. I am so thankful that I'm not a completely negative person and can actually see myself making a good career in this industry.
  3. Why are you so negative towards anything film related?
  4. That's so awesome that after all those years you're still so passionate about it. The most important thing to do if that's what you want is to stay healthy. I agree with her about backing down some if you're financially able. Hopefully you have some sort of diet and exercise regimen in place now but if not that would be the first thing I implemented.
  5. You can get 50 foot of the Ceramic. Regular qdp is 100 only. Classic black which isn't global but their house brand you can get in 50.
  6. Sanding I don't steel wool anything but maybe some leftover glue. I've seen steel wool scratch Dodge glass do I don't use it.
  7. Do that from the center out pushing one direction never back and forth.
  8. I only wrap them around a hard card for the stiffness. Sanding block I use on matrix.
  9. The roughest I've used is 1500 for defrost lines. I switched to 2k and have been fine with it. I've used 400 on dot matrix and that's it. Keep listening to idiots on FB and you'll be buying glass 😆
  10. Yes it is. They do just like all the others and put it in their own boxes if you're out of their territory.
  11. Some Friday fun for ya. Johnson's architectural blue and frost.
  12. Do like the boys here put a strip on then tint from it down 😂
  13. You'd think after all the failures they'd want to change something.
  14. The only thing I can think is the film left a clear layer behind which isn't uncommon. A steamer will likely take that off, it just takes some patience. Worst case I would tint over what's there then let it sit in the sun till it's good and dry (couple hours). After that try bagging it and that may do the trick. Good luck
  15. Yep they're all different but I usually do 20 or 30%. Toyota, Ford, Dodge can usually do the 30 and Chevrolet 20. Even if the front meters the exact same it can still look a little lighter than the back due to the light coming in from the windshield.
  16. That is qdp not qdp-c which is the ceramic. Solar FX ceramic is reboxed global so should have the exact same numbers.
  17. Glad to hear it and like stated before those quarters without fill removal can be a pain. Glad they took care of you 👍🏻
  18. I've done several of them and never had an issue. Curious as to why you would need to do that on a Kia though. They aren't prone to peanuts

    it's a Subaru it ain't that difficult.
  20. 😂😂😂 find a new tint shop. I wonder what entry level film they carry if the ceramic is just a waste? Plenty of proven numbers out there that back that ceramic film does work.
