Dragging back debris. I've never done that but seems to me you'd be more likely to scratch.

Just an FYI the new mustangs don't peanut, at least they haven't for me. I don't do any special prep on them. I've done a ton of chargers and and challengers though and like stated earlier I use 2k with no issues. Keep the glass wet and push one direction not back and forth.

I only wrap them around a hard card for the stiffness. Sanding block I use on matrix.

You're comparing apples to oranges with asbestos and window tint. However I just tinted a home for a removal and inspection company that has grown and done very well in that industry. To say the window tint industry is declining is completely asinine. No I haven't been doing this since the 80's but I've seen nothing but growth in my business. I am so thankful that I'm not a completely negative person and can actually see myself making a good career in this industry.

If your sole argument is that solar won't be around forever then I think it's safe to say we agree, I guess we just differ on the rate of decline, as they apply to us individually. The standards of new construction in metro america are light years away from Everyday, USA. Triple pane glass is no where even close to the standard here, so I dare say a quarter......if not half of the country even knows what low-e or triple pane is. I do agree that a hefty percentage of the metro/commercial solar will dry up and I am thankful I didn't model my business around that percentage.

Serious question here Tom, and with all due respect.  Do you think that a business model of getting the most work at the lowest price could have something to do with the overall negativity and outlook on the market? Because after all a cut throat volume business is typically at the tip of the spear when it comes to vulnerability in market shifts.

Not arguing with that at all but that's every industry as far as downsizing. I've spoke to several that have grown to that magnitude and they say they made just as much when they were a one man band. I don't plan on adding a bunch of employees but I will go the direction my customers take me.

That's so awesome that after all those years you're still so passionate about it. The most important thing to do if that's what you want is to stay healthy. I agree with her about backing down some if you're financially able. Hopefully you have some sort of diet and exercise regimen in place now but if not that would be the first thing I implemented.

Before doing so I encourage you to read the total money makeover and entreleadership by Dave Ramsey. What is not assumed is the risk that goes along with the mortgage and running a business with debt. What happens when you fall off of a ladder and have to lay out of work for 6 months? I'm not saying rent you're entire career that would definitely be dumb. All I'm saying is people rush into a mortgage way to soon because of numerous reasons and wind up bankrupt. There's absolutely nothing wrong with renting for a few years so that you can save up and pay cash for a place

The roughest I've used is 1500 for defrost lines. I switched to 2k and have been fine with it. I've used 400 on dot matrix and that's it. Keep listening to idiots on FB and you'll be buying glass 😆
