The glass itself will pop out of the rubber gasket once removed from the door so you have 100% access to it. Makes life much easier. 

Stay away from the rayno, several reported failures with that film. May be a good shop but that film is 💩

I'm hit or miss with it. Somedays I'm shrink no problem other days it's burn multiple pieces. I'll stick with the heat gun cause honestly in the overall what are you saving maybe 2 3 minutes tops? No thanks

That's weird for a non ceramic film shouldn't have Haze like that. I would just take it in and show them what's going on shouldn't be an issue just to replace those two.

What is not assumed is the risk that goes along with the mortgage and running a business with debt. What happens when you fall off of a ladder and have to lay out of work for 6 months? I'm not saying rent you're entire career that would definitely be dumb. All I'm saying is people rush into a mortgage way to soon because of numerous reasons and wind up bankrupt. There's absolutely nothing wrong with renting for a few years so that you can save up and pay cash for a place

So if on the regular you can do 800 a day then right around there. Also if you're not tracking your daily gross you need to be this will tell you exactly how much you can afford. Make sure you can cover it in your worse months and you'll be fine.

Just to show what I'm talking about, this is a '16 Sierra with just under 40k miles on it. It's been detailed and is considered "front line ready" for a dealership. At first glance it looks "clean" (I see a greasy, silicone armour all coated nightmare but that's a conversation for another day)

After a quick wipe with a damp microfiber.



This makes a world of difference in keeping your install clean. When I first got started I was trained to flush the sides and pass a hard card/bondo card/tri-edge down the seals while flushing and call it good. I fought contamination on the sides for months until I started wiping the seals as my first step when pulling a vehicle in. Hopefully you or someone else will find this helpful.

Sounds fishy the guy would take all those pics before the job, so he knew he’d have some ammo for after the job was finished. I don’t buy it at all. In the end, he got a free tint job and will never get the scratch fixed. If he posted pics we could all tell if the scratch was from the installer. I feel like this isn’t his first rodeo. Probably eats all of his dinner, then complains that it was no good to get it comp’d.

Agree completely I've got a competitior that will do anything possible to get Google reviews and I can't tell you how many people I've had in my shop complaining about him. Even stuff similar to what this guy has experienced and way worse. I very rarely leave any negative reviews because of the impact it could have on my business however. In the end the op is I guess happy so doesn't really matter.

If the tiner/owner just said - ok.. we'll take care of it - I would agree. But because they didn't and denied any possibility of wrong doing... 
 
I had a homeowner's window break after I tinted it. I know it wasn't the tint - it was a lighter shade, ie less absorbtion, but I replaced the window for them. I didn't argue... I just did what I need to do to make them happy. 
 
This tinter acted in a way that, imo, wasn't very professional. He deserves to be put on blast. 
 
It's whatever... but this is why shops that do crappy work continue. Throw money, or a refund, at the problem and it goes away. Well.. that's all well and good - but the customer that accepts that is just as much to blame when future customers also have problems with the tint jobs they receive. 
 
Just tired of people posting about tint jobs that they spend good money on are garbage but do nothing to prevent it from happening again to other innocent customers who likewise read nothing but positive reviews... cause no one wants to post anything negative.

That's why there are only good reviews. Hopefully the next person they screw takes a few minutes to post what happened... or the one after that, or after that.
