Since I'm not the only one in the house we are split on deciding. We agree to only use one % on all the windows. But I want to go 15% and they want to go 25%, mainly to avoid making the main room dreary. I guess we can always redo it down the road, it's only money right...
Considering your situation, I have 3M NV-15 on every window in my house. as you see in the pic i am posting it really is not that dark with full sun on them or that noticeable from the inside. perhaps you should consider a darker film as in a 7% or 5% DR film. I just think you will not be happy with the 2 choices you are considering.

Very cool. Any idea what year those were made in?
The ones that would know have since passed away. I would think mid 60s.

I am a little confused here, if you are using a reflective film you should have notified them that the installation would be requiring caulk on the edge of the film required by the manufactured warranty. I am thinking that they revived other bids more expensive than yours that stated so. what are your thoughts on this......?

Yes and no.

They benefit banks and gas stations and so on, that being they will have the ability to control visibility inside and outside day or night as film cannot.

We used 30-1-1 with 4oz per gallon, but with it pouring out it probably diluted it too
I will explain why i think not enough slip was used, years ago I was installing security film that was rolled on the core backwards with the liner side out from the factory and it was an in-shop job with beveled edge glass. the film was lifting off the glass so I had thought lets see if just strait water would do the trick. It helped lay down a little more but not much, however when I came in the next morning the film had consistent water bubbles in the film. your pic reminded me of my situation. question for you . did you just do a vertical pass while squeegeeing the film. if not was a vertical pass done first or last.........?

Be careful with the ultra. I use a keg sprayer with a filter. The ultra occasionally will clump and appear to look like a smear under film. After it dries it causes damage to the glue. Also, it has caused ceramic to de laminate in just that spot. I am currently in the process of redoing about a dozen cars. I haven’t had an issue like this since llumar in the late 80s
A couple things to that could be happening, if you leave your tank under pressure all of the time, i have seen the same issue as in clumps of something developing in the filter and the tip of the sprayer as well as temperature can cause this as well " not using ultra tint slim ", perhaps the maker of Ultra Tint Slime could better answer this. How do you know that the ceramic film is delaminating..................?

Hello All, I had recently did a project using 14 mil security film. It was a last minute “emergency” from one of our top contractors. These were all oversized windows, with an exterior install in the rain. It is obvious to me that we did not get out anywhere near enough water. I have done many installs but never had this result. My fault for rushing to get it done but my question is do you think this film will eventually lay. Picture is from a day after (looked clear the first day) I checked two days ago and about 70% cleared up. The manufacturer seems pretty confident in it clearing out with some time but I really don’t want to put off the inevitable.
From what I can see in the pic, looks like not enough slip was used during the initial install. should dry out in time

I wish you would have posted the pics or had stated that the rear window had the same as the side windows at the beginning, hard too make an informed decision when not all of the information is provided, sorry to say that the tinter is at fault on this matter from what i can .

No deep scratches on the back windows. Only hairline ones around the area outside the dot matrix. I can see the outline of the cut where he put his blade on the rear glass...
Did you bring that up with the company when you were there complaining about the side windows......?
