you tell them to go get the tint done perfectly somewhere else.  if they bring it back and YOU can't find a flaw, then give them the full price for the tint and the removal fee from the other shop.  i guarantee you will not be paying any money out of pocket.
 
 

3m cs is good...their premium = trash !   Johnson I used over 10 years ago.....faded    max pro= STAY AWAY  !  issues here in South Florida less than 18 months.....

I just clean normal and they get what they get. When a car is that it shows they dont care. Every single car I tint for a really picky person shows up detailed.

I have a list of ( pass on this one ) cars I will not do.if it looks difficult or hard to pronounce the name of the car.....send them on their way....way too many easies to work on....plus I'm retired now 
if I don't like the way a customer sounds on the phone, pass........

I remember doing those when they were new....bak in the day before I knew heat shrinking was possible

on older cars I start the motor while doing roll ups  ..........  its  not my gas !

When spray the glass with the slip solutions does it just bead up like a waxed surface? If so, you can lightly torch the inside surface and it will burn off whatever is on there. Once done the slip solution should spread and stay on surface without beading up.

The reason is called light refraction. The tint bends around the defroster lines causing a distortion that the light *refracts* off of due to the uneven surface.
