CnCCustoms got a reaction from Tint Slayer in Xpel window tint who makes it ???
I use fusion all type now. SolarFX sets us quick. Global sets up quick. But I can stress enough. Xpel sets up before you can even get it into place. Especially on a large piece like a windshield or back glass. Did a charger yesterday with one of the samples. No steel wool on defrosters. No rapid tac. No alcohol barely scrubbed it. Squeegeed it off. Shrunk as usual. Laid film on. No peanuts-Nothing. And it formed around those huge defrosters like a 1 ply film and STUCK

CnCCustoms reacted to TintDude in TintDude.com Does Not...
Lately a couple of people have suggested taking the forum to the Goliath of Facebook. I suppose they prefer the ease and that there are many people on it.
I think these people deserve a thoughtful response from me why we will never be on Facebook and why TintDude.com is different.
The easiest way to do this is to say what we are not, so I titled the post: TintDude.com Does Not...
TintDude.com does not have a team of psychologists making their product as addictive as possible.
TintDude.com does not add members to the forum, every member here signed up. Unlike the groups that can be created in a day where the admin 'adds' members that they have info about to make it look like hundreds of people signed up.
TintDude.com does not track you around the web and keep track of all the websites you visit.
TintDude.com does not make you wait 2 weeks to delete your account.
TintDude.com does not create a psychological profile of you that it can share with 3rd parties.
TintDude.com does not sell your information to, or share your information with 3rd parties or device makers.
TintDude.com does not require in its terms of service that if you use the mobile app that we have full access to any and all banking information done on that phone.
TintDude.com does not build shadow profiles of non-members.
TintDude.com does not work with payment sites to know what products you buy online.
TintDude.com does not care about your race, gender or politics.
TintDude.com does not perform psychologic experiments on its members.
Facebook does.
I hope everyone appreciates the difference and what we are trying to do here. Thanks for your time.

CnCCustoms got a reaction from TintDude in Quick Help With Type Of Filme
If you can’t alter the clear glass then I’d recommend blinds or curtain. Anything you add film wise to fix the issue is either going to be highly reflective and cause a mirrored look externally or black. And even the black you can’t go dark

CnCCustoms reacted to DynamicATL in How Much Extra Do You Charge for Front Quarters?
Luckily we haven't anyone act negative about it. We have quoted incorrectly a couple of times where we assumed it was just two rollups. We just let them know it is normally more but we will waive it this time.

This is a repost from another thread by @CnCCustoms
NR classic charcoal is QDP in express box... Cr ceramic is same deal. QDP ceramic. depending on the posters location express will outright sell them global if they’re in their territory

Screw those new RAV4 quarters lol. We add $20 if we have to do quarters. I used to just do them because they were few and far between. But recent increase in them had to tack some on considering a quarter glass can take as long or longer than a roll up to do.

CnCCustoms got a reaction from smookee408@yahoo.com in How Has 2019 Been For Your Tinting
Remodeled and moved into a 60 year old service station as our new larger location February 1st and haven’t looked back! We’ve nearly tripled the last two years numbers in 8 months! 85% of tint jobs are ceramic now. And the lift/level and accessory side doesn’t show any signs of slowing down! This far 2019 has been a phenomenal year.

CnCCustoms reacted to DynamicATL in Suntek CXP vs CIR?
I'm always shocked at the amount some shops get for Suntek. Before CIR rolled out, one shop in GA was charging $400 for CXP at their own shop and $500+ at a car audio shop they handle. They were also telling all customers CXP was a Ceramic film. I don't even want to know their price for CIR.

CnCCustoms reacted to DynamicATL in Why do the Llumar tint shops take risk with darker film? Is Llumar slightly lighter?
Llumar films are always lighter out of the box than the shade listed. For example, 35 out of the box will be closer to 39 for Llumar films. We also carry 3M which tends to hit dead on the shade listed on the box. 3M CS 20 can easily hit 13 once applied on the glass...Crystalline roughly the same. So we always have to take that into consideration when selling the films. 35% is our legal option (GA can hit as low as 29 to be legal), but I have seen 3M CS 35 hit as low as 28 on certain vehicles.

Hate doing strips also. Not so much since we raised the price of em.
