A first for me, as usual strip and retint. Easy car. Pinnacle 30/15

I was waiting in a parking lot watching Family Guy and happened to look over to the SUV next to me. It has no window tint on the front doors but you can see the reflection of her hand while she was using her phone. Zero tint but still interior reflection.

A carpet dash cover will likely help you more than a lighter shade of film

Yes, too picky on the fact that the film is not coving the ceramic coating all the way on the rear hatch. The thing is is there is no daylight. I for one do not like to lift the film and move it once it has been laid on the glass of a window with defrosters because it will leave ghost lines in the glue on the film.

Now the door panel is not melted but appears to have had something put pressure on it an cause a dent. Could possibly come out after the sun warms it up for a few days and cause the contraction and expansion?? Or not. Did the tinter do it or was it already there? Who knows.

highplains reacted to DynamicATL in How do you handle unreasonable customers? how would you handle this?
We've dealt with several of these types of customers over the years. If he was that irate on his 1st visit after the job, I would simply offer to remove the tint and give him a full refund. I would not attempt to retint it because chances are he will act the same way and you just wasted time/film trying to make him happy. I would just cut my loses right there and move on. If you don't feel comfortable touching his vehicle again (like he might blame you for damage) then offer a 50% refund and he keeps the film. This way you still made some profit and if he has another shop retint it, he will spend even more money on the removal. So win win.

    Not tint but still sporty.
Cut by hand using fine line painters stripe. You wouldn't believe how many clips and bolts hold that intake scoop to the body panel.

I haven't done a Kubota so I can't tell you if a 36" roll is wide enough but I can tell you that in my experience tinting a tractor isn't fun and you should charge accordingly. The last one I did was a mid sized John Deere and it took over 20' of film

highplains got a reaction from pbalentine in Is 3M Crystalline the best tint out there?
For your stated purpose almost any film from a quality manufacturer will accomplish what you're after which is blocking the UV that's going to fade/break down your interior materials. Crystalline is a great film that offers higher IR rejection, but it certainly comes at a premium. As far as the light refraction with the rear window goes it's unavoidable unless you want to remove your defroster grid, that said some films are better than others in that department but there are a number of variables that come into play.

Going out on my own after 13years and I was struggling finding a logo so I drew this up and had it scaled and digitized. I’m over the moon with how it came out.

I've had a few customers over the years come in and request purple tint.

There was a mercedes I did for a dealership a few years ago that had the most ultraviolet purple 5% tint I'd ever seen come in to R&R the driver's window they scratched. I tried like hell to convince them to just remove all of it but they just wouldn't listen. From the outside it wasn't that bad but from inside even Stevie Wonder couldn't miss the difference.

I've done several of them without issue. Like the others here have mentioned make sure the shop is aware of the factory coating and knows not to put a blade or steel wool to the glass, that the shop puts out quality work, and that they use a film with a proven track record of longevity.
