Full bumper, 18" Hood/Fenders, Ceramic front doors.
This one already had a little road rash from the summer season but otherwise pretty minty.
It's funny how the guys that daily drive these give you the smile when they hand you the red key
The reality is that I try to move the hot rods around as little as possible. Always fun to hear 'em roar when they fire up though
I can be an adult behind the wheel of any car. Almost any car…. Alright so don’t give me the keys to a fox body mustang. Lamborghini/rolls or something you’re really worried about me breaking something on we’re golden. Old square 5.0 with a stick? I might steal it and make a run for it. I’m not sure if I’m serious or not either lol!

Weather strip comes off the top of the back doors easily. I pulled all the panels and rear deck. Didn’t do the shield cuz hell no.

Is it all windows that you’re perceiving it? Back window or driver window etc?

Have had many vehicles tinted and have used various films from Suntek, 3M, Solargard and Xpel over the years. This is the first time having Llumar IRX or any Llumar branded film.
Only 48 hours in but I never recall seeing the amount of haze I’m seeing with this stuff. Also noticing very intense uniform vertical bands when looking through the window with my sunglasses, like the roll of film was creased? I don’t know. The whole thing seems a little off.
Looking for any advice and experiences with this film. Thanks
Do you sit closer to the glass in this vehicle vs previous cars? 911 instead of an f-350 or something.

That's crazy. I presume that is the factory privacy glass doing it?
Yes, was described to me as an IR coating. First noticed it on an (autobiography) model.

If you didn’t like the look of suntek, you’ll probably be happier with the black xpel, the plus performs well but I’m not sure you’ll like the inside looking out. I wasn’t a fan. I stick F1 I’d sell you pinnacle over stratos if this was a concern. You gotta trade off some low angle haze for ir rejection in this regard.

express for film, get the hp in 40x50 if needed to save a $ stick to trucks for a while. Learn on cheap old cars watch videos, @flat rock stan has dvd’s for a price. What we do, especially auto can be hard to pickup, and you expose yourself to damaging a customer’s vehicle in new and creative ways. Be careful, research before you take on a job. Good luck.

Vette came in for back window only, no problem. Tahoe kicked my ass? Those quarters are massive, and the hair floating inside was a battle!

12 volt guy saved me the hassle with the door panels as he was was already in there. Agreed @highplains my favorite over the 300zx&Supra . Motors weird just Ls swap it if it gets to be too much hassle.

A first for me, as usual strip and retint. Easy car. Pinnacle 30/15

I have a client who has one that is already tinted but has lots of air in the dotrix. he would like to save it. any ideas on how to re-glue the dotrix and make it look uniform without having to redo it?
That’s a can of worms I wish I could help with but beyond rubbing the dots towards the edge with your thumb now that it’s dry is all I got. Sometimes it works. I feel like it really depends on prep. You could maybe steam it back a bit with the right film and work it but I wouldn’t try unless I knew how their adhesive worked.

Been awhile, still got it.

It is in the US if it's classified as a passenger vehicle. I've noticed more and more vehicles being classified as MPVs on the Vin tags in the doors jamb and they're mostly shipping with privacy glass in the rear. I also believe that in the international market (certain markets anyway) they're allowed privacy glass from the factory on sedans
If you remember I did I a 5 series a few years back that had privacy on only the back driver or passenger roll up. Not the qtr or back or any other window. New from the dealer. The Wehrmacht’s quality control was lacking that day .

What’s the difference between you and Stevie Wonder? He’d tint a window better than you could 😂
Did beemers for a very long time for the local dealer. Discounted, rushed, nit picked. Perfection is a myth, even with time. And if you do a good job on a beemer that’s all that comes to you….. and it gets very old.

What’s the difference between a bmw and a porcupine? With a beemer the pricks are on the inside!

I could live with those doors, but that back window is a redo in my opinion.
Is it just hanging? Rub your thumb over it?

I’m perfect, never stuck a spec of dust in a window in my life . If that were true, I still wouldn’t touch your car with a 10ft pole. Too many red flags already, and .

I’d latch the door with it open and make sure the windows don’t just come up and force that opening, bmw exterior rubber can deteriorate very rapidly. Especially in a hot climate. Did the local dealers work for 12-13 years before they went in house. I’ve seen it all. The nick under the qtr window is very unlikely to have been caused by an installer. It’s in a very odd place.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the bad pics I hope you can see what I’m referring to but I just got done removing tint and adhesive from my car and have these white marks (streaks) left on it. The marks are on the inside of the window and it is NOT adhesive! I already got all of the adhesive off the window and I know this isn’t adhesive because non of my removers work to get it off like it did the adhesive and it isn’t sticky.. lol! I’m referring to the streaky lines, not the pollen/ dust that’s on the exterior of my car window.
Please tell me what these marks are and how to get them off. Thanks!
I feel like this is a German car. Porsche and Mercedes won’t use felt. It works great and doesn’t create these issues. Don’t tell that to Hans or Franz someone will be shot in the courtyard at dawn. Probably needs felt added to the window sweeps. They scratch their own glass before tint often. Audi has this disease too.
Windshields and the customer

There has to be an easy way to explain distortion on a curved window that is directly in front of them. It’s more noticeable now because you’re staring at what you just bought. Reason no 3 I dislike windshields. Super picky overly paranoid customers. Also sup y’all. Just saying what’s up, and make sure this topic is at the top for now.
