  1. Computer on driver side kick panel,Plugs facing up because fiat/Chrysler are stupid. Jam a towel in there. Use a rope and towels/etc .
  2. Done for the local law (detective). Qdp 05 sides, solar fx carbon 30 with a 15 percent visor. They said black it out!
  3. Dryer sheet, I’ll use DSP on easier windows though.
  4. I feel like that glass aid stuff isn’t helping your feel for the shrink in the corners. I feel like you’ve got way to much film on the sides and are making more to shrink. You could try leaving your top corners loose. Like an old integra. And if the bottoms not a problem move your anchor point up.
  5. They don’t get much easier! That’s not a hard one to shrink at all! Show us a pic/video of your prep for shrinking, then roll the film back up and put it away until you get some advice from just about anyone on here.
  6. Defroster quality has tanked! Watch out for fuyao labeled windows. Disclaimer on everything, not my problem car manny’s can’t get or make decent glass. Laminated doors are extremely popular, Tesla and Germany suck equally. When in doubt post up. Welcome back!
  7. Haven’t seen one yet how’d that back window go?
  8. I still vote 15/20 backglass especially if you have light interior. Again it helps with an even look and the glare from headlights behind you.
  9. I need a location in a pic of the whole window to speculate any further.
  10. Kinda random and very straight? Hard to scratch film or glass so perfectly as a tinter. Usually something in seal or someone at the dealer Detailing. Tint adds contrast and shows the flaws in glass. Hard to see a dent on a white car easy on black. Tint will make pre existing damage to glass more noticeable.
  11. I think that’s 35-40 everywhere. Not a fan back. Most trucks and suvs are equivalent to 15-20. I prefer the glare reduction of a darker film at least on my back window. Can also promote an even look, especially a car with light interior. The newer cars headlights are blinding and then there’s the light bar craze on trucks. If it was legal my vote would be 30/15/05 front sides rear. If you can do the back a shade darker I’d definitely recommend it.
  12. Here’s a similar shade on lighter interior
  13. They’re driven by old people like me with poor night vision. Go to llumars film viewer on their website. Pick what you want for an outward appearance. Global has the same thing kinda. Use that to pick what you want and have a shop try to recreate it within reason.
  14. I stick qdp and solar fx on the side. Shhhhh. 32 qdp ceramic metered 26 on chevy truck front doors, lulu 30 would meter 29-31 on the same truck. Difference is the product not the shop.
  15. Lulu usually meters right at or a hair lighter than its vlt once installed. Unless you have laminated doors on a rover sport or something you should be fine.
  16. Have the same shop measure it now? Instead of asking a 3rd party with less info?
  17. Say no to rayno. I stick pinnacle so that gets my vote, you should base your decision on service and install not so much the product though imo
  18. High optioned beemers from those years may have laminated glass with coating that give that appearance. Or 3m crystalline can give the same look.
  19. All it takes is a new guy at either shop to pull this off. These have free trash on the glass that’ll show up white in the bottom corners inside. Something that’s happening while they’re building em. Grease or glue. Unless the car was absolutely covered in dirt I can’t see a tinter pulling off the outside scratches without some real effort though? A porter at dealership who’s ignorant with a rusty razor blade pulling a shipping label off oh yeah. That bottom passenger outside the glass scratch? My magic 8 ball says dealership.
