As soon as you spray slip it will pull the dust out so blow out the crevices with an air compressor and then do a final wipe down before you install.

You can always snap them on your peel board. One thing that helps fingering  is bumping the edges with a paper towel. They never drain the slip solution well.

Both. Check to see if the defrost cycles which most of the time it'll shut off every 15 minutes or so. I'll usually check at that point to see if the film is ready to come off. If not I'll let it do another cycle.

Try to wear an apron or have a rolling cart near you on the same side of the car.. Don't let tools you need be on opposite side. Install on one side at a time. Walking around adds up.

Efficiency will come with experience, keep at and don't sacrifice quality for the sake of speed.

I advertise them so customers know to stay away from the cheap $99 tint jobs.

If you go that route make sure to tell them this is practice and that in a year's time the price will not be the same. You don't want to get caught in a rut of people saying well you use to do it for this price. Also I wouldn't have them advertise it, just say hey if you've got a couple vehicles I could work on I'd be happy to. However don't bring your cousins husband's sister's ride up here.

If you're "practicing" on other peoples cars you shouldn't charge them anything. You want them to pay for you to learn? Would you pay a mechanic to practice on your car? Also, not charging is a better motivation to get real good real quick so you can charge correctly when you're no longer practicing and know what you're doing.

All new Acura's are very easy. 2 screws behind the door handle and 2 screws behind the handle on the panel door panel and pop all the tabs. Some of them you just need to pop the top of the panel off of the seal.

PPF is not clear enough optically to put on a windshield.
The stuff that is designed to put on the exterior of a windshield is rather expensive with only about a 6 month longevity period.
Neither is worth is in my opinion.

That usually helps! Unless it’s the back part that doesn’t move. I’ll grab those kinda like Frankensteining a back glass, so it’s kinda taco’d in the middle. Then lay the outsides up into the roof, letting the middle hang down until I can slide the outside parts behind that opening.
    Hope I explained that ok?

Removal of door panel on this new model added to Volvo.

There are 5 screw.  4 are expose and 1 hidden beside door handle. DO NO PULL ON THE DOOR.  When all screw are remove, pull up like a Ford F series. Very easy suv to tint when all of this is remove. It only take about 1-2 min per panel for removal.

If you're getting two hours for a set of front roll ups I would say a sun roof would be about an hour.

You work for Porsche, right? For those I’d do the same as what a whole windshield pays. It’s mostly pano roofs on those, so the amount of film and prep work is pretty close to the same.

Not pushing the installer super hard and as you grow and learn cars your speed will progress similar to a mechanic.
