Cooltimes got a reaction from Dano in Im done with tinttek 2020
I've been using tinter patterns for a few years. Its my experience that I spend more money on having to had hand cut bad patterns than what the program is worth. I toss a lot of film on the ground and then trash. The trick is dont cut the whole car first. Cut one side before you cut the other. This is what we have been doing for the past 2 years. Hit and miss???
There are few cars that are have really good patterns. My advice is to hand cut all doors. Use the software for new ford f150
trucks and chevy trucks and hatch backs and stationary quarter windows,They still haven't fixed the Large bronco patterns.  Just did the fronts on a 2008 ford f150, how can patterns be bad after 15yrs of updates????????? Just make a list as you go along and mark which patterns are off. Its sad that I have to do this.

It all depends on how much you paid. We used to call that the "arizona gap"

Cooltimes got a reaction from TintDude in Diamond Hatch Pattern - Ceramic - Polarized SunGlasses
its from the tempering process and the way the glass cools on the rollers after coming out of the oven. You mainly see this with polerized sunglasses and sometimes in the shade with no sunglasses.
But I'm only a tinter. Some cars are worse than others.

Their hard coat is really good, its probably the tool used to remove water may have had a bur or inperfection in the tool it self.
But without seeing in person its hard to tell.

Cooltimes got a reaction from Dano in Opening new tint shop...need all the advice that I can get.
Xpel may not sell you film even though you paid for the training. This happened to a friend.
Llumar maybe the same way, not absolutely sure, this is what I was told .
Make sure they put it in writing that they will sell you their film after training.
Also some companys charge 2000k plus for a 3-4 day school. In my opinion these types of classes should never be sold because their is no way to be a productive and ready to go window tinter in a few days. Even though they give you a cert.
Work for a tint shop for at least 6 months to a year and then go out on your own. I wish some one would offer at least a 30 day school. This is more in touch with reality. Good luck and start off slow and easy. Their is also a lot of good youtube channels to learn from.

Cooltimes got a reaction from clear solutions in Rayno S-5 film longevity
Ive been getting back warranties on rear windows in 2-3 years using rayno s-5.
This is not acceptable especially when rayno makes you jump threw hoops to get paid. I can just see all the warranties coming in this year.
at 150.00 max per car its going to be a tough year.
Ive been hearing good things about global ceramic films. What can anyone tell me.

Cooltimes got a reaction from Diablo's Tint in AudioMotive in Ottawa Scratched my paint when tinting! Rude owner.
Your said what.    "4 days prior I prepared by taking pics of all the windows and paint areas around them in case there were scratches/damage after tinting."" NO ONE DOES THIS."
You sound like the guy that eats 90% of his meal and complains to get a free meal. I wonder if your yelp reviews are 70% 1 stars and 30% 2 stars.
Dude!!  4 days before you take pics predicting this would happen. Ive seen this before and pisses me off that people try this. Now!  if you had 4k video in front of the shop that same day 5 mins before handing over the keys. You might have a case. Remember your in snow territory. Your car probably has marks everywhere.
Once your car leaves the shop your done. How can you 100% say it was them" You can't"
Thats like blaming someone for stealing your wallet and later on you find your wallet. You end up feeling really stupid and bad about it.
I believe we know what really happened
