  1. Hello, Signed up just to post this as I'm having trouble finding a solution. I recently moved into a home that has multiple interior windows tinted. I'm pretty sure the tint job was done over 10 years ago. It's all scratched up. Outside of these windows is the backyard, and in the past couple of years an outdoor canopy was built, thus eliminating the need for tinting the windows, as no sunlight hits them any longer. So I attempted to remove the tint of one window and it came up surprisingly easily. The problem is that I didn't realize it was coming off in two layers. I assumed that what was underneath it was just glue, but now that I've tried literally EVERYTHING to remove it, I'm realizing it's an EXTRA THIN layer of tint. I read multiple solutions online, including spraying the window with ammonia, placing a black bag and letting the sun do it's work, but the problem is that the sun doesn't hit this window at all so I have no way of doing that. I've tried a cheap clothes steamer, a blow dryer, carb fluid, goo gone, WD40, razor blades, oven cleaner. You name it, I've tried it. It still comes off in tiny pieces and this window is pretty LARGE. WHAT CAN I DO? I'm at my wits end. Thanks in advance!
