  1. Hello, I’m not a tinter myself, but trying to do some research to determine the best film for my needs. I live in Houston, and while I’ve found several shops that are well-reviewed, each carries their own selection of tint brands. I drive a ‘95 Toyota. All windows except the windshield and front doors have a factory gold tint. The front doors and windshield are clear, un-tinted glass. The amount of heat that comes through the windows is unbearable on road trips. I’ve decided it’s time for a tint. I also want to keep the plastics and interior (and myself) protected from UV rays. But above all, I want to keep my truck looking factory... dark or gray-looking tints aren’t an option. I've found a tint shop that uses a 70% XPEL XR Plus Nano Ceramic tint. $150 for both doors. From what I have seen, 70% tints aren’t that detectable. Though I assume there could be something better out there. Are there any other films out there I should investigate that offer heat and UV protection equal to XPEL XR Plus while maintaining a clear, oem, look? Thanks -Lee
