I have a 2022 Buick Encore GX I plan to have my windows tinted on. I have come across several tint shops offering either of these options. I have used Madico Black Pearl Nano Ceramic in the past, but last time I had numerous issues and the shop had to replace a total of 4 pieces at separate times for failure.
After looking on Hüper optik/Autobahn's website, I call dealers to find out they have switched to XPEL after years of using Hüper Optik products and are strongly recommending the XPEL prime XR Plus over the i3... I've also gotten quotes for the i3. Either way I go I'm being quoted the same for either of these films at $650 to $720 in the metro Atlanta, GA area depending on the shop and including the windshield...One shop near me uses Garware and quoted same price as XPEL and said it's the same company and film as XR Plus... All the shops I've contacted have about 15 to 20 or more years in experience. I'm not sure which route to go on the tint... What would anybody recommend out of these two options. Is the XPEL in fact a better option or is the i3 hands down better, I've not seen much on either of these films regarding actual performance or longevity. My main objective is to reduce the heat in the car.
I plan to use 30 on the front and 20 or 15 added all to the rear with 70 on the windshield.
