  1. Miami just seems to be a fun spot to vacation in, and intend on going to no matter what this winter. I just wanted to be it more worthwhile for me to go. it just sucks that the industry in general hasn’t caught much in Canada, specifically Quebec ( I feel we are way too behind), which is why I’m looking for anything to learn in the US. Appreciate you sharing that with me man!!!
  2. Hey guys, I’m looking to take a vacation in Miami during the winter (trying to catch a break from the season, and escape the Montreal winter for a little bit). I’ve currently been installing ppf for about a year now, and I feel to go and learn some intermediary to advanced techniques; and it would be great to do that while on vacation as well. What places in Miami or Florida in general can I take these advanced courses?
  3. I’m getting air in the middle of the taillights while ppfing? How would you guys go about it?
  4. So we prep the surfaces with our tac solution, which is 10% 99 iso, and 90% water. Would you say that is the problem?
  5. Hey guys hope all is well, I’ll get right to it, whenever I’m finishing up a panels I always have trouble getting the edges down, what do you guys think is the problem?
  6. This was a Tesla, so I don't know if this changes anything, but we were also slipping the hell out of the film while this happened. We were using premium shield before this (which seems to be a tier lower then suntek), and never saw these appear. Would this mean we so happened to get a bad batch of film? or is this user error?
  7. Im currently using tint slime for my slip mixture, do you think this may also be an issue?
  8. I've recently upgraded to suntek ultra film and I am getting these marks that I have never seen before (lower quality film). What are these? is their a solution to it?
  9. Whats up OG's!!!, I've gotten my hands on the suntek film and recently just installed matte ppf on a brand new Tesla model Y, during the install I noticed that the film was drying up rather quickly then any other install I've done, as well as I noticed weird marks for the first time ever. We were using film from china for our practice and never noticed this. So is it safe to say that I might've gotten a bad batch of film? or is there something I can do technique wise as an installer?
  10. We have been thoroughly prepping the car (clay bar, apc on the edges, etc), we still get minor finger towards the edges even after following tack points. Are minor fingers still a cause?
  11. Hey guys, I've recently been coming across issues of edges being lifting on clients cars. At the shop we have been heat sealing the edges with proper heat gun settings and also using tac solution to lock down the films. Me and partner are thinking 1) maybe the adhesive of the film is to weak (using Premium Shield), 2) or tac solution is either too strong or weak, 3) or maybe we should be using adhesive promoter on the edges.
