  1. Hey guys has anyone used Global QDP ? I've been using xpel cs series for a while now but I'm looking to switch films! any insights on this film would be greatly appreciated thank you!!
  2. I'm from Canada, Alberta, I'm wondering when the slower months tend to be for you guys? and if you guys have any suggestions to keep busy! thanks
  3. I was in the same situation you were in not too long ago! I used to mess up customer vehicles, take 6-7 hours on full installs, and offer discounted rates or a free tint job. Mistakes used to stress me out as I couldn't guarantee myself I could do it better the second time around those mistakes are a blessing in disguise use them as an opportunity to learn! In my opinion, there isn't really a specific time to get it done, you'll get faster as you get better. Today in a perfect scenario it should take me around 2-2.5 hours for a full install and I'm not sure if that's fast for industry standard. I honestly didn't think I could get better back windows used to scare me, quarter windows... but you just have to tint tint tint and do some more tinting. I did end up sacrificing some of my own time and worked with a professional for FREE for a few months which sped up the learning process and I honestly recommend you do the same if you can.
  4. Hello! Has anyone tinted the new golf? I have one booked for next week and just wondering what I should expect! from the pictures online the back glass doesn't look nearly as curved as previous generations, any insights will be helpful thank you.
  5. I recently tried out the xpel film and it was a lot different than what I'm used too, other films I have used include Avery Denison, when applying heat it becomes normal smiley faces that I can just push down without any tension and feels smooth, but today when shrinking the xpel film I kept getting these long tense smileys that felt extremely stiff but could be pushed down with a hard card, I usually prep in the H pattern, and I use soapy water and then wipe it clean and just let it dry, could that be happening today because the surface didn't fully dry and was damp? or that's something exclusively with xpel film
  6. I recently tinted a 2023 range rover velar, I may have took the seal out a little bit too aggressive, when putting it back one of the clips isn't allowing the rubber back in ! I'm wondering if I'm just putting in wrong or it's absolutely broken and I need to replace it ! thanks
  7. For the past 3 windows I've done I'm noticing there's always a group of contaminations near the bottom left side, and it's usually a group of them... what could possibly be the reasoning? is it the cleaning process not good enough on those corners? or am I possibly touching something when installing the film? any insights would be greatly appreciated thank you
  8. Does anyone have any tips on doing tight quarter windows??

Is this a hard car to tint? thanks!
  10. Hey guys, I just wanted to hear some stories of everyone else's tint story, for the previous 2 years I've dabbled with tinting family and friends' cars and just this year I decided to take this seriously, I've got got a shop space, and a plotter and I would my hand cutting skills are all right. For the last month, I've just been practicing and practicing before marketing myself to do actual customer vehicles. I plan on starting to do customer vehicles starting April after some more practicing but I just can't get over that feeling of messing someone's tint up and they end up being quite upset, so I just wanted to hear everyone else's story regarding how long did it take before you got comfortable tinting customer vehicles, and how long it took you guys to do a full car when starting! I would love to hear everyone share their stories thank you.
