  1. A few years ago, I received my 3m Crystalline Certification at the tint shop I was working at. I have since then left that job and my new place of work wants to know if I'm certified as an individual or if my 3m certification was only for the place I was employed prior to them. So basically, when I became certified was that for me or was it just for my place of business at the time? I hope what I'm asking makes sense.

  2. i just figured i would send a quick update. I have attended 3 car shows now and It has really paid off. I met A TON of connected people and people that were ready to schedule right on the spot. Both of my Free Tint Job Raffle winners have sent me multiple vehicles so it was WELL WORTH IT. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving it a shot. On top of all of that I really have a great time meeting everyone and seeing all of the nice cars. You guys should really think about it.

  3. Hey Infinite Tint Ink. The timing of our question was perfect! When I originally wrote that question I got a little discouraged from some of the feedback I was getting so I ended up not going . I missed a huge event and I totally regretted it (my own social anxieties got the best of me). However , this past Sunday I decided to grow some balls and I attended my first car show as a vendor and it was totally worth it! First let me say this, I couldn't stop thinking that maybe I wasn't gonna look right or that I wouldn't know what to do or how to deal with everyone by myself but everything really fell into place . I wasn't sure if I should sell anything or tint a car during the event . I was completely clueless. What I did was I just ordered some really nice flyers and I custom designed a nice retractable banner with my information on it . Then I just called all of my sales reps and asked them what they had that I could use for outdoor events or what they recommended and I stocked up on information. I also offered to do a raffle for a free tint job to try to drive traffic over to me.  After that I studied all of my prices and read up on all of the products I knew I might have trouble explaining if someone knowledgeable hit me with some good questions (I really did not want to look stupid or uninformed). After that I was ready

I got to the event two hours early , set up my 10 x 10 pop up tent , set up my 6 foot table with my Xpel table cloth and then put my banner in front to get everyone's attention. I put all of my info/brochures , company decals , flyers and business cards out on the table .

I sold Cans of glass cleaner for $5 a pop, and I ended up raffling off a free tint job AND a free head/tail Light tint job. I charged $1 for each Raffle ticket or $5 for 10. I ended up making around $250 so It paid for itself and I pulled the winners at the end of the event on Facebook Live . (It was really fun and the two winners were ecstatic) I just stood back and waited for people to approach my tent. Anyone who looked interested I just said "what's up! Let me know if you have any questions". I LOVED IT !

I know that was a lot but I just wanted to give you as much detail as I could because I know how it is to feel clueless or unsure about doing it. It was a BLAST! I had a great time , talked to hundreds of people and handed out over 100 flyers and a whole box of cards. It ended up  Costing me some money for the banners and some other things but it was well worth it Because my phone has been blowing up and I've already scheduled a few jobs so DO IT MAN! Just be confident , be honest with people, don't be afraid to ask people who are looking at your stuff if they have questions  and I always make sure to shake everyone's hand and give them my name after talking to them. I learned a lot and I can't wait to do it again. I am a one man show and I'm not the best salesman so it was hectic getting set up and stuff but after about 30 minutes you start to find a groove and if you have fun with it you will start booking jobs and meeting the right people.

If you Decide to do one let me know how it goes. I would love to hear about your experience. Also, let me know if you have anymore questions . I'm all about helping people !

  4. Thanks for the feedback guys!! I'm thinking I might do that Roach. having a car set up and tinting it would be a cool way to kind of showcase what it is we do. that's what I was thinking! $250 for a whole day at an import event with thousands of people seems like a small price to pay to even just get word out and pass around my number. especially if I'm the only tint shop that is gonna be there. I couldn't believe the event coordinator said id be the only tint shop there. seems like a great venue to be at to me. thanks for all the feedback about facebook Dynamic. I actually do the exact same thing. I Boost posts to friends of people who have already liked my page and I do $7 a day everyday for my page to get likes. It seems that boosting pictures of high end cars I do gets WAY more feedback.

  5. Hmmmm....I was really hoping someone had a good experience with it. its supposed to be over 10,000 people at this event so I figured if anything it would just be worth the money to get the name of my business out there. It only costs $250 to be a vendor for the day which isn't much at all. I don't know.......Now I'm on the fence about it. I tell ya what, I started paying for Facebook Advertisements and either Its bullshit or I'm just not doing something right. Aside from the occasional Like on my business page, I'm not seeing very much feedback from it. Any advice Dynamic? I know you run a lot of facebook ads......do you customize your audience or just run ads in certain general areas? I've spent WELL over $200 on facebook ads and haven't received one damn phone call. Went to a local car meet and handed out fliers and scheduled 5 Jobs that night. Any suggestions?

  6. Hey everyone! Business has been pretty good lately! Recently I saw their was a BIG car meet right down the road from where I live so I figured i'd make fliers and go hand them out to potential customers and it worked very well. Not only that , it was just great to get to know new people and potential customers in the future.  Yesterday I saw that their is a big Import event (Show/Drag Racing events) coming to a popular Drag strip very close to me and I am seriously considering paying to be a vendor at the event . I contacted the event coordinator and he told me I would be the only window tinting company their as a vendor. My question is, Has anyone paid to be a vendor at an event like this and if so, was it worth it in the long run? This would be the first time I've ever done something like this so any advice I could get would be much appreciated. THANKS GUYS !
