I would probably just ask the tinter if he would mind just doing a “touch up”.

He can most likely make the areas of concern look better after a couple days of drying. When these first came out, I saw most of them tinted with the same gap in the 1/4 window. I personally cover the whole thing, but also charge $200 for a wholesale tint job. A retail car such as yours is double what you paid. That being said, it’s not even close to the worst work I see around my city! Whatever doesn’t dry out, just ask him to touch it up and you should be good.

Best advice ever. Thanks and I will take it back this weekend if I am still not satisfied and will ask for a touch up =)

  2. I appreciate all of the replies.  The reason I chose this particular tint shop and had high expectations was because they did a fantastic job on my neighbor's 2007 Chevy Silverado. The tint job on his car is flawless compared to mine and he said he spent around $140 a couple years ago. I guess it just depends on the employee and the employee's craftsmanship. I've heard of people paying as much as $350 and had many unacceptable flaws.

I will be patient and see if most of the bubbles go away. The tint guy said if I am not satisfied to bring it back but he did say I was picky, LOL.

  3. Aloha all!

I own a 2009 Honda Accord sedan that never got tinted so I decided to it was time to get the windows tinted. It was a bit challenging to find a reputable tint shop that does quality work with integrity. With that said, I was recommended a local tint shop that has a rating of 4.5/5 stars on Yelp. I called the tint shop and was quoted $160 for all 4 windows and dropped the car off to the shop. Less than two hours later I received a phone call to pick up my car. When I picked up my car I have noticed micro bubbles on all windows including the rear windshield. Also, the tint on the rear quarter windows were misaligned and were not fully covered (refer to pictures below).

Am I being too picky? Did I get a bad tint job? Should I have him redo my tint? I feel extremely dissatisfied and have told the tint guy who worked on my car. He informed to not roll down the windows and let the windows cure, and that everything will look great.

    Mahalo!

I did my best to capture some the flaws but pretty much there are micro bubbles all over that did not show up in the pictures. They look a lot worse in person =(
