I'm going to try a can for sure!
The last few months I've been using Sprayaway foaming glass cleaner and that stuff does a decent job.
I buy that in bulk at sams clubs. Used it for ten plus years

Call Brett at film and vinyl designs. Will get you a great price on a Plotter. Buy a good name brand Plotter. Not a cheap one
-
Had a generic, wouldn’t recommend it. If your at Least 5 cars a day. Do yourself a favor and buy a name brand. better plotters are easier to switch between materials. I love my Roland 60”. You may need it for designs for frosting offices. So go bigger if you can

Done 1.
Just tuck it a very tiny amount under rubber like 1/16. Basically take your time and trim it exact.
dry it good and don't worry about the double gasket thing
-
I think it was about two hours. From start to finish, including the back end.
I also take an old sign board with me to lay the precut pieces on.
-
I don't know how any one else tints buses but here's how I do it.
I got a magnetic from a sign shop.(the kind you see slapped on the side of trucks) They measure 12X24.5. Get a nice sheet of metal and lay it on a cutting table.
A bus window measures something like 11X22. Instead of trying to cut off your film roll 30 perfect squares Just lay out about 10 pieces of film on top of the metal, place the magnetic on top of the film pieces. It'll keep the film from sliding around. Now your cutting 10 pieces at once. Big time saver and you have at least two square edges to work from since no 2 school bus windows are ever the same size and never really square.
You will go through a couple blades cutting on the metal, but when you hop on the bus with alot of squares you'll knock it out in no time.

I'm interested. If there not gone already

I scheduled my self for a fairly light day today.
Mercury villager and an Rx7
Villager took me 2 hours, I scheduled it at 10:00am
My next job was scheduled at 1:00. Figured I'd be home at 2:30 or 3:00.
The kid dropped the car off to get tinted with the nasty purple bubbled tint on it.
"I forgot all about it" How do you forget something like that?
That's the first time that's ever happened to me
Any way I got another 100.00 out of him to strip. Didn't get home until 5:00 though.
Guess that's what I get for workin the holiday.
-
I don't get it
I get all the samples I want from my distributers. Why go through you
-
Hey marco, just to let you know, the signing a waiver thing is admitting guilt on your part. And if you ever went to court a lawyer could argue that you knew the law by making the customer sign a waiver. so your at fault for not obeying the law.

I work in ohio, I usually apply 35% on most of my tint jobs because most of my customers hate 50%.
Most ohio cops in southwest Ohio don't really mess with the law to bad. It's one of those "scince I pulled you over for speeding let me check your tint" routines.
Now if your rollin limo tint it's a different story, you will get nailed. The only way I can gaurantee you'll never get pulled over is to stick with legal. You've got a good chance of getting away with 35% but a cop on a power trip won't care if: "I bought it like this" or "I thought it was legal" or "I told the guy I wanted legal and he must have installed illegal tint".
Stick with legal, no worries, 35% take a risk. Tickets vary from different townships usually $50.00-$175.00. Is it worth it? you decide.
