Anyone here doing skinning (ie apply paint protection film) on mountain bike frames?
I’m curious as to how you deal with tig welded joints? Do you skip them or skin over them as well?
Skipping them is easy, just cut close enough and it’s a job done. However if you do skin over them, how do you ‘completely’ remove the bubbles from these joints? The normal curves of a frame are easy to deal with using a heat gun, but I find the welded joints to be quite an impossible task.
