  1. Hi guys, just got my plotter going new fc8600 54”.

I have a new blade, set the speed at 20 and force at 13.

it wasn’t cutting consistency, so I replaced the cutting strip with a new one and it’s still doing the same thing. Some areas it cuts good the other areas it cuts through the film. Any tips would help, Thank you!

  2. I have been using Classic Black since it was introduced by EWF, and I have yet to see any issues. In fact I have it on my brother in laws car, and zero issues on the BG or the doors, and his car is always outside. Yes, I do not live in FL, but I live in part of CA where it gets up to 110 degrees. I have been wanting to post pictures of Global QDP & Classic Black, vs. Acura and Nissan clear coat. In the last five years, the clear coat on my mothers RL, and my own Truck have gone to $hit, as both these vehicles never see shade, and my house is facing west so the sun is backing the vehicles. I have put the meter on the doors, and zero vlt. change from day one, and this is on both vehicles. The BG on the RL, still looks good as first day which I did it.

The only thing I can think of is, you mixed the boxes somehow and  you installed a non color stable film, or well I just don't know what the other possibility could be.

  3. when i order the classic black, it says 1.2 mil on the websight, but the roll says 1.5.  i have kind of wondered the same thing.  also there is a listing for classic charcole and a classic black.   both say classic charcole when you choose the film %, and both offer different options for %.  just wondering what the difference was.  i have used the film for quite a few years and love it

I think it's just the way it shows up on the site (1.2) the film is 1.5. I too use it and like everything about it. I buy a lot of QDP From Express Window Films, which is titled on their site as Classic Charcoal 1.2, But its a 1.5mil film.
