Is anyone in the states actually using this film?
-
I don't give it a second thought regarding removing PPF.
I'm employed by my clients to install the film to protect there paintwork whether its matte or gloss.
If they ask about the removal later in its life I tell them its designed to lift off paintwork.
If the worsted happened then its down to the car/paint manufacturer and PPF manufacturers if its factory paint but down to
the client to inform me of any paint repairs.
Wouldn't be able to do this job if I worried about addressing things that may happen later.

If you pull the film off cold then your asking for trouble but as long as the films warmed whether that be sunlight or a warm unit and you take your time in removing I don't think your have any problem or leave any adhesive residue..

I've never had any issues with matte film apart from like 'Bulk Auto Films' a matte lotus Exige.
I always look forward to working with matte film as its a change to the gloss stuff. it tends to fit like a skin.

Show a test for peel up lines which can occur during installation when having to move contaminates from under the film.
I know Suntek scores 10 out of 10 for no pull up lines and that 3mventureshield scores a poor 3 out of 10 IMO

Now the bad......when I pulled the film from the liner the glue had a strong solvent Odor to it.
Im waiting to get a bulk piece to cut and install to make a real evaluation. It wouldnt hurt for it to be just as good as what else is out.
It is only my opinion but 3m made sure I got it first for my opinion. They are changing certification to a star system. Most installers are going to start at 2 star . I am 4 star now meaning full fenders and hood. If you are already certified they are going to come to you and watch you install and decide then.
NO WAY! A star system! 3M want to sell boxes of film as many as they can. Some ones having you on.

Your so right! its all a little late.... Its ok to 'miss the boat' but 3M in there wisdom didn't even think they had to turn up.
To produce a new film that the markets going to like it will have to be exceptional.
Do you know are these sample pieces of what we could have or are they in full production?

Waited years for it then gave up.
If I want 3M latest film here in the UK I have to pay upfront and wait 6 weeks.
