There's a plastic trim peice that runs between the door handle and the rear of the door. Pull that peice with a panel tool starting at the back side, there will be one torx screw behind each one. Then just grab the top of the door panel and peel it back, then fish out the seal with a hook tool. When you go to reinstall them, it helps to spray them down with slip so they slide in easily.
Do u have to pull a screw to get the seals out on these? doing a 16' Passat tomorrow and wonderin if the come out as easy?Easy, the seals come out super easy
Gotcha thanks! Do u know if the rear deck should be pulled on the 16s? Did a little older model Passat yesterday and the film slid right down. Is the deck easy to pull though just in case? really appreciate it.

Thanks man same here don't ever pull rear decks unless the brake light is touching glass. Scares me sometimes when people say it's necessary lol those cars are already tight enough didn't want it to be more of a pita by havin to pull the deck.
