If it needs a greenish hue (didn't read whole thread), then 3M FX Premium or Formula One Pinnacle.

I have F1 Pinnacle....worsens the green hues ten fold.

I didn't read the whole thread since in middle of something else, but sounded someone was trying to match green.  That is why I suggested those since they both have a green hue.  If you have a glass with a green hue and you are trying to reduce the look, a blacker film will be needed to help.  Something like 3M CS or Llumar CTX would be good.  Plus darker shades will help like 20/15/5...if you are doing lighter shades than there is no option besides getting rid of the car or changing the glass itself.

in general are 3M films more black?  Such as 3M FX Premium vs CS?  I was told FX Premium was a very good match, but I have yet to see it in person.  I have also been told QDP matches well as well.

    Global qdp

did the hues match from the inside looking out?  Is that a ceramic tint?

No, the QDP is not ceramic but they to make a QDPC which has a layer of ceramic material added to the tried and true QDP film..Same coloring superior performance :thumb

IMO from the inside looking out the back factory glass looks like it has a bit of blue too it.

We have tried probably 50 different films from cheap cheap cheap to super expensive and have yet to find anything close for color match from the inside looking out.  There just isn't anything available. :twocents

Was Global pretty close? As in you have to look really hard to notice?

I was on the 4Runner forum and some have been saying 3M Premium FX matched perfect.

  3. so I just called my dealership again.  They said they use Solar Control Global Film.  He said they tint 4runners all the time and have really had any issues with it looking off.

For all you professionals, would this make sense that Global Films might be able to reduce the amount of the "green/yellow" appearance?

Also, will ceramic tints applify the yellow in the window or is it just the hue of the tint itself?

Thank you all for the information!

  4. No there film is not bluish. It is more brownish in my opinion.

You want to stay away from anything bluish. It will worsen your problem,, as the factory glass is yellow.

    Yellow(glass) and Blue(tint) = make Green

hrmm - so did i make the issue worse using F1 Pinnacle?  So I could need something more green or charcoal?  Sorry for all of the questions, really new to tints outside of getting a couple cars tinted at shops.  This is the first car ive had that had privacy glass int he back.

  5.

are there any tints that can diminish it a little bit?  Its so bad, lol

Ive read that 3M FX tint might do better, but then its taking away my ceramic....but at this point I might be game.

Not sure as I don't get to see all the different films against factory film. :sorry

I can recommend if you want to stay with ceramic,,, Global Ceramic is not bad. Not perfect but not bad. :dunno

Is their tints more blueish?  I just contacted my toyota dealership and they said they use Global films as well.  Is that a good film?  I never hear about it.  I will call back and see what experience they have had specifically with 4runners.

  6. hello all!  new to the forum and just got my 2016 Toyota 4Runner tinted.  I chose Formula One Pinnacle ceramic.  15 on the front and 35 on the rear over the stock privacy glass.

I know some were complaining about how green the front windows were, but WOW wtf....I did not expect what I got.  Can someone PLEASE recommend a tint that will look any better than this?
