I'm just starting to tint windows while restoring my 1973 GMC Motorhome. I have some 50% tint from Solar Control Films Inc (their Superior NR Charcoal). I thought this would be a somewhat straightforward job since the windows are curved mostly in one direction. But I've been having trouble with finger bubbles at the edges and haven't been able to successfully heat shrink them.
It is my understanding that you can only heat shrink to a factory edge ("with the grain"). Can anyone give me tips on tinting windows from this vehicle? See attached pictures. I am removing the glass from the frames to make it easier -- lots of dirt can hide in those 40yo rubber seals.

Thanks for any hints!
