Driver's side door. Moisture gets into the switch for the seat presets and makes the seat go wonky. Starts moving around on its own. Moves around while you're driving. Forgets customer's presets.

Looking for pics of window tint looking through driver side. Needing to replace mine because it's too refefletive. Hard to see through window because of interior reflections. Specifically like to see 15% and 20%. I will include pics of my 5%. This truck interior is super refefletive on 5% tint. The problem lies in the reflection of the defrost vent. Which blocks my only vision before my side mirror. Doesn't help I have window defectors also.

Easy money, one 7mm behind the handle and the top will roll back off the seal. It's a little tight going back on but no big deal.

Hi all, I'm just starting to tint windows while restoring my 1973 GMC Motorhome. I have some 50% tint from Solar Control Films Inc (their Superior NR Charcoal). I thought this would be a somewhat straightforward job since the windows are curved mostly in one direction. But I've been having trouble with finger bubbles at the edges and haven't been able to successfully heat shrink them. It is my understanding that you can only heat shrink to a factory edge ("with the grain"). Can anyone give me tips on tinting windows from this vehicle? See attached pictures. I am removing the glass from the frames to make it easier -- lots of dirt can hide in those …

just tinted this car 2 days ago. if you are a bottom loader, make it easy on yourself and pull the panels on this one. one screw behind upper handle and one screw below handle and the panels pop right off. the front door panels hump up towards the front of the window which makes it a pain to 2 stage. back glass is a cake walk dry shrink but only anchor horizonal across the middle. no "H' pattern. also on back glass before shrinking, trim the sides as close to the border without going over. that helps make shrinking alot easier. one my scale of 1-10 degree of difficulty scale, i give this car a 2. easy money.

how do you take the damn panel off on the newer gmc sierra trucks. this is the only truck that i cant figure out how to get the panel off. i know there's 2 screws behind the cover you pop off on the door handle but never seem to get the door off. i think it might have something to do with the door lever to open the door but i have no idea how to get that thing off either if thats what i need to do....anyone else have problems getting them off. ive been tucking all sierra's so far but it would be nice how to take the door off in case one comes back for peeling problems.

I tinted the front two doors on one of these the other day and notice they had laminated glass, I was out running errands and came back just in time to warn my employee who was just starting on the front passenger window. He hadn't noticed and probaly would have heated the hell out of the window. Sometimes I feel almost like a babysitter instead of a shop owner. I just though I'd warn everybody else just in case they don't happen to realize the windows are laminated.

93 GMC 3500 Ex Cab Rear Window

New to the forum, seeking advice and found this site. I am writing on behalf of my husband (he is the tinter). He is currently working on a job that has him about to pull his hair out. He is working on a 93 GMC 3500 Extended cab. His issue is with the rear window, it is a 4 pc slider and the rubber is different from the inside to the outside and has shrunk in some places. Does anyone have any tips on how to lay it even without ruining the film or just on this window in general? Thanks All!

Instead of me always asking you eperienced guys what to do, which will change in time as I go, how can I found out how to match tint to a factory SUV tint. I`m going to be doing a GMC yukon, it looks like smoke to me. I measured the tint with my tint meter, it read 18%. What would be a match?
