By reset do you mean disarm
if so there is a wire (grn/wht I think) that goes to ground when you turn key in the door to unlock. diode isolate that wire and connect it to your negitive unlock on the alarm
if thats not what you meant then sorry

On Long Island (fairly expensive to live) it's only $10.99 extra per month. I was paying a total of $110 per month for Basic Cable (no HBO ect) with HD and High speed internet and they give you the equipment.
Not to bad.
Im now with Direct TV its also in that $10-15 extra per month range total is in the $50/ month with HBO and a TiVo. However you have to purchase your own equipment A standard High Def Receiver is about $250 plus a dish $80 and installation

Does anyone have an easy way of 'rough cutting' film for install on large semi circle windows. The are some BIG windows about 9 feet in the air.
the measurements are 90"W X 36"H
I would like to be able to have the film about 2" or so larger than the glass before I get on the ladder but aside from laying the large sheet on a table and using a piece of string as a compass to kind of mark the size I cant think of any other way to do it
Thanks in advance
ps I am an auto tinter buy trade with limited experiance in flat glass so talk to me like im retarded

No Problem easy rear window no trouble with any gaskets. Only thing is that the side door glass has a dot matrix up and down the edges. a little extra heat is needed

And GM is now going to have factory install video systems in all tahoe and suburbans.
It will cost extra to NOT have one
and has for tint on mini vans explain to people that factory tint does NOT protect you from UV rays so the will need to have the entire truck done for maxium protection. Every other truck that comes in for 2-doors ends up with a full tint

Looking for help selling a job the windows are roughly 36" X 36" some with southern exposure (all day sun) and some are eastern exposure (morning sun) showed a sample of LULU N1035
with glass this size do I run a risk of seal failure or glass breakage using the N1035?
The windows are double hung double pane. the lower half of the double hung windows say 'Tempered saftey' on them however the uppers to not.
Also what would I charge (about) for the job it totals at 290 sq ft and its all clean work
any other suggestions on type of film. Cust would like to cut down on the heat in the room (LULU or Solargard only please)
I do mostly cars this is one of the few flat glass jobs that im selling so im a little unsure dont want any problems

Looks good but Why?
And were you able to shrink the 4mil thick film and 1 piece the rear?

This is just how I use the O' Glue so take it for what its worth
I tint as normal then I peel back the area the covers the dots. I run a bead of O' Glue the length of the window right on the tint and reapply the tint over the dots. Then using a hard card with light pressure ( you dont want to push all the glue out) I first move the glue down to where the dots start then push up and remove any excess glue. Remember it looks best when you can see that there is still glue in between the film and glass.
Use your hand the you shouldnt be able to feel the dots if its done properly
You can always remove more glue but you wil have to start over if you remove to much.
By the way I find this to be the best way to tackle the dot matrix issue

just about the easiest car out there
flip the door latches to keep the D/P windows up
and do the rear window first
other then that its 30min car

If your planning on using Tint Tek or Comp Cut you'll need the 40". It just lays out best with 40" stock.
We use Graphtec used a Roland for a bit and it sucked a$$ un even cuts

if your going with plexiglass use the mirror plexi it comes in 1/4" and will look better. Cheaper too

I have a glass company that I do work for asking about 'prism film' or 'holographic film' has anyone seen anything like this or can anyone recommend something else for this customer.
From what I gather from the glazer these are interior windows and most are between a stairway and bedroom also a stairway and bathroom he's looking for privacy. The guy has a 'Metal and Glass' thing going on (absolutely no wood) so I am going to suggest Diamond plate and brush aluminum vinyl I know its pricey but this is Manhatten apartment
What are people getting for this type of install? its around 600 square feet
He also has around 600 sq ft of exterior windows that he wants film on Glazer says that they are 'low E' thermopanes approximatly 5' X 6'. Low E means No film correct
Thanks in advance

I met a tinter in ALA. who was using a dot matrix ADD-ON glue. Itwas clear gel and came in a tube the size of a giant majik marker pen. Supposedly it contained UV inhibitors so it would not turn yellow or look crappy over time. Ant one ever heard of this? where do Iget it?
Sounds like O-GLUE to me
Did it have a blue cap?
Ive used O-GLUE with mixed results
1st it makes a mess
2nd if you dont squeege enough its looks lumpy
3rd if you squeege to much of the adhesive out your back where you started with uneven white area
if you do it just right it looks good but I dont know about long term
and you can get it at Kinkos
