Please forgive me if this sounds off. But with the world of tech changing, I didn't know if there might be apps that I could use from my tablet to my plotter. I work at a dealership and my computer doesn't allow anything but what's installed https://kodi.bio/ . I was looking for something like vector magic or similar programs. Again, sorry if it sounds dumb. I just had to ask.

I just purchased a warehouse to open up a wrap shop to apply PPFs, window tints, and vinyl wraps to customer vehicles. What is the best value plotter to get? I want something that will be reliable, has a really good software that is easy to use and saves film, and something that would break the bank https://xender.vip/ . Ive heard of brands like the Workhorse 2, Graphtec fc9000, and Jaguar V LX 72". What do you guys recommend?! Thank you so much for the help!

We have developed a new cutting software and are looking for some folks to test it out and give feedback on ease of use and template quality. It runs on both Mac and Windows. If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I'll send you the download link. I'm happy to answer any questions...

Its been a while since posting but i felt inclined to share my excitement about my new setup. I have a q64 and fc9000 in the shop and wanted to try something a bit different for a change as i needed a new shop station. Ive always heard great things about Summa products and i heard about a new series they just released so i grabbed it and wow im blown away. The new Summa S one is an absolute beast for window film. Im currently cutting Xpel products and this plotter absolutely crushes the viny express and graphtec in performance. Much smoother machine and incredibly fast. If i were to run the graphtec at these speeds it would destroy the film but this machine…

Does anyone by chance know of someone who can work on a GCC puma in the Tampa FL area? I can't get this thing to cut correctly for the life of me- GCC seems to think it's the "pladent" needing adjustment, but I don't have the box it came in to ship it in for service for one, or two the time.

I'm new here & chances are I'm probably doing this wrong. I purchased a new graphtec fc9000 160 & received it a couple months ago. I have never used a plotter so I'm wondering if anyone might know someone located in san Antonio texas that is familiar with the plotter and willing to make some money showing me the basics? It was such a big expense for it to remain boxed up on the floor.

I've got a Jaguar IV plotter that had been used in a previous business. I don't know much about the unit. Appears to measure 50" wide. Anyone have any idea of what it might be worth?

Loads of tools , cards, squeegees, door card popper tools etc but the main large items wanting to see go to a good home are DGI 60" Plotter 60" Filmhandler with Step Ladder stand. Hello yall. With the influx of Teslas coming into the shop, I've decided to perhaps purchase a Graphtec FC9000-160 to speed things up with tinting the roof. My question is, is it actually worth it? I dont see much info on it online besides the Graphtec info video. I also plan on printing PPF and film. Any input is welcomed. Thanks!

I’m thinking of getting rid of my vinyl cutter. It’s a 24” Roland GX-24 and it works fine, I just don’t have room for it anymore. I’d like to replace it with something with a smaller footprint, probably either a Silhouette or Cricut. But I know nothing about the current crop of vinyl cutters, and am looking for advice from you all, since I know quite a few of you do have them. Besides the smaller footprint, I’m interested in something that I can upload my own designs to, without paying a subscription. I don’t care if it’s WiFi connected. I am interested in print-and-cut, and something that can cut a variety of materials, thick and thin. What say you, folks? I’d …

I have no idea if this software even exists. I would love to find software that I could feed the measurements of multiple windows in to it and it tells me the most efficient way to cut it and the best roll size to use i.e. 36" or 48" or 60" or 72" of combination of roll sizes. I used a software called FastCut a few years ago and it came fairly close. It would nest the film sizes in the most efficient way to cut but made no allowance for different size rolls. Any help in finding a software to do what I am looking to achieve would be greatly appreciated

Amazon pushes the Vevor brand plotter even if you type in searches for other brands specifically. I've talked with software companies who say that their software can be used on this brand. Has anyone had any luck with this brand?

I first must say I planned to put this under the plotter section but there was no general topic tab. Anyways, I plan to purchase a new tint plotter and software since everything I have done in the past has been hand cutting but I want to speed up the process a little when and where it is needed. My questions is, who is leading the market right now as far as software/plotter packages? I currently use suntek window film, mainly carbon series and have been looking really hard into the tint-tek system. any suggestions? Thank you!

Hello all, I recently purchased a Graptech FC8600-100 and am having some cutting problems. I purchased the Graphtec 30 degree blade also just FYI. I am using the CORE software also. Settings are set 13 or 14 force and depth is also set to .5mils. When I go to cut film, it is either not enough cut or too much. On force 13, it wont cut through the clear layer at all but it wont completely cut the windows. When i go to peel the film, it reps and tears in areas where it was not completely cut. On force 14, it cuts too hard and goes through clear layer in some areas but perfect in other areas. The cut is very inconsistent and I cannot seem to fin…

I currently have a 52" Vinyl System Specialist plotter. I have been trying for the last 6 months to find a tint cutting software that is compatible with my plotter. None of the programs I have tried have my plotter on the install list. I have contacted the company that I bought my otter from and unfortunately their lack of knowledge or help was unbelievable. ( I'll post their response below). I have co tasted a couple software companies and their solution has been for me to purchase a different otter from them lol. My plotter is only 5 years old and works amazing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, New member here, just starting out and we went and bought an older ce5000-120 plotter from a really nice lady but it’s not really working? at first we thought we were doing something wrong while setting it up but it doesn’t even do a proper test. It makes tiny 1/4” cuts and the cutter is just going up and down and “poking” at the film, and then it’s cutting a large 4”x6” shape instead of a little triangle inside a square… extremely confused and frustrated… machine doesn’t seem to be broken but we don’t know anything about plotters… Appreciate any help you can provide! Thanks!

How many installers are using the Cut On The Pull feature for your cutting software? Why is this feature needed? Is it just for thin static films or because the plotter isn't calibrated correctly? Curious to get some feedback.

We're on a 30-day sample of SunTek TruCut, and ran into a small problem. I use mainly 40" rolls, and when I nest things to cut it utilizes an exact 40" box it's planning to cut on, when in reality because of the plotters rollers it's more like 38"ish. Does anyone know how to change the 40" roll setting to actual material width?

How do you feel about computercut software? I’ve been using it and have had several patterns cut too short. Really annoying. What is the best? I tried contacting expel but never got a response. I just need something that works every time. Tired of waisting film and time. Thank you in advance

my plotter seems to have increasingly common errors where the blade will cut a zigzag across the pattern or it will just start feeding out tint endlessly until it is manually stopped. do any of you have these issues?
