  1. As per other requests along this line...I would go to FordEmmissionDude.com and talk to oldmechanic and get his take on it. He's old but sharp :thumb Expect a smart ass answer at first but heed his knowledge. If he's not on, rip it apart and do it yourself. It's not hard at all. Anyone can do it. And makes lots of easy money doing it. Just like your mechanic does :mad

Hope this helped and welcome to TINTDUDE.com

  2. Have you tried hitting the brake pedal when this happens? This should shut it down regardless. Also, Hook up your battery. Then get under the dash or where ever the brain is and unhook the brain completely for about 30 seconds. Then hook it back up. See if that stops the problem. Those models were among the first to have the recovery mode that went to it's previous state. Sometimes they get hung up in the last state. Although your problem is rare.

If disconnecting it after the battery is hooked up doesn't solve it, take it to a Viper or Python dealer and see if they can fix it for you. For a charge of course. They might can get you hooked up with a new brain considerably cheaper then cost of a new system. Providing it was properly installed to begin with :cool

  3. go to a site like DSLreports . com or somewhere and test your speed. multiple times on different servers. check packet loss. then start looking for ways to maximize your conection for cable/broadband/LAN

Windows XP is almost set up for it already. There are several ways, but I'm on my laptop and don't have the links. Plus it's easier to see it on your screen. :spit

Other then that, make sure your cables and connections are good. I did all my own wiring and I am as consistent as can be

  4. TintMasters is right :trustme about the sand. I would go to the hardware or bulding supply store and get some course sand. about 6 bucks for 100lb bag. I use the same stuff but extra fine for my sandblaster. So It double duties here :thumb But depending on the thickness of your coats....Might want to run to the building supply store and check it out for yourself

And yes, especially with soaps and such used in tinting and detailing, it will get very slippery
