  1. The Pimp and his Mistress have moved to the sunny South West  of the UK.

Torbay in Devon to be smart about it.

Sorry its been so long since last post but moving takes time and really sucks, bigtime...

Hope everyone is doing well and keeping well.  :DD

Moving is a b!tch, That's why I've lived in the same place for 12 years.

Soon we will be moving our shop and equipment, thankfully it will only be next door into a larger building.

I am not looking forward to packing, sorting, cleaning and setting up

    from scratch.

But you can't stop progress, if you wish to do better in this world. :DD

  2. We are required to charge a $10.00 fee for window tint when performing a state inspection.

If the VLT reads less than 32% we must fail it.

I have had a few strip and retints because of this.

Now we are going to have to buy a $6000.00 OBD2 machine to do

emission testing which is to come in effect Jan. 2006.

Not to mention having to pay for a dedicated phone line to the DMV Headquarters in the state capitol.

Everytime you turn around there's is some other orginization with their hand out.

People wonder why it costs so much to have their car repaired now a days.

  3. Most anyone can get a doctors note if they just ask.

Especially if you have good insurance.

But is it worth the hassle of getting pulled over and over and over.

There is a tint shop in my town that has at least 2 vehicles with very !llegal tint on all the windows.

The company name pasted all over them both.

Not sure if they have doctor note, but I feel it is setting a negative example for or trade.

They do great work, but almost every car I see leave their shop has !llegal tint.

  4. Welcome to the world of window tint.

You are definately going to spend some money in wasted filmz before you get it down pat..

Practice, practice, practice.....and then do it again.

I wasted sooo much film a first, although, I'm so picky about what I send out, I stilll waste some even though the mistakes probably would have gone unoticed.

  5. I just bought a 30" Graphtec.

I love this thing, It can do most anything I need so far.

It was not cheap, nore was the vinyl, software and other supplies to get me started.

But in a week I have made back 10% of my investment, by word of mouth.....

A lot of boats around here. :gasp

My vinyl supplier said in 10 years I would still be glad I bought the Graphtec.

    I hope he's right.

  6. Good likeness!

Ain't that the actress that played Olive Oil in Popeye w/ Robin Williams.

Did you hear that the groom to be, still wants to marry her.

He said on an interview, on the Today show or GMA. (In not the same words but), that they had not had s*x yet, he wanted to wait until they were married first.

Maybe she was frustrated and needed some strange before she married that GOOB.

What a YO-YO, I'd kick her ass to da curb an' move on.

But not before I drove the skinnin' boat to Tuna Town.

  7. I have a

    "Ninja" by "Century".

    Found it used, paid $400

Never heard of the brand before, but it works GREAT!

It'll suck the dam carpet up if you let it.

    It has a 4in attatchment, a sliver and a 10 incher too.

TIP: DO NOT USE ANY CLEANER SOLUTION NOT APPROVED FOR A D.S.E.(Deep Soil Extraction) MACHINE!

IT WILL BURN UP YOUR PUMP!!!! $$$$$$$ :thumb

Been there, cost me $125! but I got lucky! Could cost more depending on make and model of the machine.

  8. You wanting to cut vinyl and tint on the same plotter? Call brett at 1-800-888-2256-but it aint cheap! ss

You really need two different setups to do both! Buy you a vinyl machine-learn to use it-then if you really need or want to cut film buy you a tintsetup. Having some plotter skills will save you alot of head aches/money when you start cutting film!  :coffee ss

Thanks, I have been looking for a plotter myself.

I have a degree in AutoCad Drafting, so I'm hoping my plotter experience from that will help.

Although we used pen plotters, the basics, I am hoping will be similar.

  9. We have a used car lot on the side, you get all kinds.

Most of them want on lot financing... No F***ing way.

I ain't wastin' my time chasin their sorry a$$e$ down to get my money, even with a good repo guy, still a waste of time.

They think just cause the Government gives then something every month they are entitled. Hide the welfare check under their work boots and starve 'em to death.

  10. We've delt with things like that from the beginning.

If you deal with any large or medium scale car dealer you should expect to get paid every 2 weeks or even monthly.

Up sell them on carpet dyes, headliners, floor mats, etc. to help make up for the 'deal' they may expect. If a particular vehicle is really trashed, then charge accordinly, you are in business to make money just as they are. Walk around each car with them and sell, sell, the same thing they do. Give good service, but get paid for it too. STICK TO YOUR GUNS!!!!!!!! Installing the 'Dealer Must Remove' floor mats have proven to be a good seller for some detailers in this area.
