I use tape to make a line across the bottom of the back window to make my cut after shrinking. A lot easier than fighting the light to get a nice cut.

Now if he pulled your client over for the sun strip, and was incorrect about the legalness of the strip, you may have a case. How many lottery winners won millions because of the numbers they guessed? How many won because they were math experts?

You can have the best film in the world, but if the install sucks... It does not matter about the quality of the film. Are you planning on tinting your Lexus yourself? Or buying the film and trying to take it to a professional?

so what tint shop would carry these because the owner of the car stated that the front windows are 35% semi-metallic and the rear windows are smoked at 20% but he didn't remember the name of the front tint

for the quantum find a shop that carries Solar Gard, they can special order it. Well, any shop can special order it.

and the fronts aren't a semi-metallic or "HP" film, they are definitely full metal(quantum, PP, etc)

Definitely a full metal film like Scotty said. I believe that its a Platinum Plus 35, if not it is very very close. I just installed PP35 on a civic for another employee here at work this week.
