The installer probably set the unit tachless in other words voltage sensing, and yes you can adjust the crank time or you can have him hook up the tach wire hope that helps

Id have it removed and take it to a alarm shop not a chain store

If that unit is the transponder piece (two way remote) and someone is doing for 200 get it done before he wakes up that unit should be selling for at least 450 installed

you probably have the factory (so called alarm) still hooked up if so just ground out the factory hood pin switch that should solve the horn honking

the new ford deisel's dont have a wait to start I could be wrong had one in my shop and didnt have one

A universal not likely you need to know if the alarm is factory or aftermarket then you could go from there

The way it sounds to me is that you dont have a hood pin switch up front cause if the hood was open the truck wouldn't start and also there should be a shut down manual switch in the car

get them removed you can do the sides yourself as for the rear glass have a pro do it it will save youe rear defrost lines

Try reseting the ECM remove the negative battery terminal for about 10 min that should get you going

If its a new DEI product the starter wire is cut in half probably his conection on the key side came loose thats why you are able to start with the remote and not the key id tell him to start there first good luck

Well if it is the shock sensor you can over ride the shock by arming the alarm then hit the same button you arm again you will hear a second confirming chirp that will tell you the shock is now off thats one way of seeing if you sensor is the prob the only down fall is that you'll have to do it every time you set your alarm good luck

do you make house calls once they win the bid or is that and additional charge if you come to them ?

I use 2000 grit wet sand paper for better adhesion seems to work for me
