Can you get 3M from different distributors other than 3m themselves? I'm asking because a shop a couple stores down from me ordered 3m from a different distributor and the film has no 3m marks on it, from what I've heard, they all have that little logo on the film. I've done some 3m redos and they have had it, but I haven't worked with it in my life so I'm just curious. 

As title reads, I'm looking to add a new 3 year to 5 year window film to my inventory, preferably a 1 ply. Any recommendations? 

Chill, if you do good profesional work the costumers will keep coming. That is nothing compared to my competition. My store address is 1163 and I have competitors in 1165, 1161 (right next to me on both sides) 1154 (right across the street from me and it's a small 2 lane street), 1159, 1157, 1153, 1151, 1131, 1126, 1106, 1101 and many more. We are talking about all these competitors in only 0.2 miles from me. 

I tell them "you see those black dots? They're thicker than the glass, so the tint sticks to the dots and not the glass, it's normal." if I still see them kind of skeptical I take them outside find a random car with tint and show them that its normal.

First one looks like a crease, would need to be redone, second one can be pushed out. 

Whenever the sharpener or sanding it stops working on it. If it keeps leaving water streaks then it's a no go.
