Actually guest, I use a few different distributors because I am no longer loyal to one manufacturer. (I pick my favorite lifetime products from different companies now) Rep names are John & Cindy.

Keeping all the eggs in one basket almost put me out of business years ago, when one filmmaker had catastophic failure. Good service from a distributor is also important to me, and I have found that some companies will not give you the same service if you are not buying the big numbers. Bummer, because I pay up front for all my product.

My favorite distributor just started offering a private label tint, which I am only trying on personal vehicles, and neighbor's cars. So far, I like their product and price, but am leery of longevity. I was reluctant to try Suntek, they introduced that 3 years ago, too. (But now you can get Suntek cheaper factory direct) They offer vinyl graphics, pinstriping, and other accessories for installers, so I purchase more than just film from them. I would share their name & info, but don't want to seem as if I am advertising for them. Great service from these folks, and I share tips with them when I can.

Have also told them great things about the TD.Com site. Will be glad to share more info about them if TD says it's ok. Lots of local tinters purchase from them, not sure if they've heard of this nifty little gadget yet.

I emailed today, but it bounced back. Found the classified ad, and can call you if that is ok. If no more are available, I can wait until you get more ready. Good tools are always worth waiting for!

Yeah...Pretty much. In this day and age......Maybe you have this covered, maybe not, but the thought just came to me seeing the pic. After being on this board for a few years, I've come to the conclusion that a certain percentage of those in this biz are basically scum. :wall Just a thought, snap, just looking at all angles for ya. :wall By the way, it looks like a great tool. :shock

      I am looking for an experienced Window Tint and/or PPF installer for a new shop opening in North Dallas (Frisco, Prosper, McKinney area).       TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      All Right cool. I've been practicing with an inexpensive tint I found on amazon. Its called Rockrose. I'm just about ready to make some cards to pass around to get clientele. I've been debating if I should start with Puremax cuz its a lot cheaper or Geoshield cuz of the great quality I've heard of. I'll probably go with Geoshield so I can make it easy on myself and make sure I do great quality work for my customers. Are you already doing doing jobs for customers? If so, did you stop using the Puremax and now only use Geoshield?

      Ghosting week require a smoother, more even and spread out shrink. Look at my old "ryk shrink" using 2 heart guns with an over/under setup. That would be my suggestion.

      Heavy Ghosting - Geoshield "Geo" Line

      Hey all, I am not a pro tinter but more or less just someone who likes to experiment / DIY. Wanted to ask if there was anyone here who has used the Geoshield "Geo" line for automotive purposes? I really like the color, but I get really bad ghosting for anything that requires decent shrinking. The film is specced as architectural, but has a PS adhesive so some use it in auto applications. I sent an email to see if that is the reason why it's for flat glass .. lol This is a sputtered TiN film and has a beautiful color imho. This reminds me of Huper Optik, and not quite sure but I think Johnson had a line called "InsulatIR" that I could never get my hands on to try. The film has a slightly purplish reflection (TiN I guess), when put on green auto glass, filters out and looks super neutral. ❤️ I've had it on my auto for a while but my rear window is a mess when the sun hits it (ghosting) and was curious if this is just not suitable for auto Any info would be appreciated. Skill issue, ie: shrink with lower heat? lol Thanks.

      chameleon window tint good quality

      If you don't mind trying to source some, there is a large Japanese manufacturer that makes a bunch of dichroic - looking films. It might be your style, but it would be hard to get your hands on some. https://www.braintec.co.jp/filmlab/ I believe some of the films do have decent heat-rejection, but because of the nature of the films, looking through them can be really funky. They are well-known in Japan and would likely be of decent quality. Also, very expensive. Depending on where you are, shipping would also be $$$.

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      I feel the difference in quality with geoshield. Not only is it easier to peel the liner off but shrinking feels better and I think the material feels slightly thicker(helps with not creasing) Only downside that the price noticeably different. For mainly everything Its atleast another 100 on top of for example stuff from tints Lexen. I haven’t tried solarfree either.

      At least twice, yes. Although since we don't know what vehicle it is you're planning to tint, that was a bit presumptuous of me.
