.....must be nonexistant. :lol

just got back from nashville, went to see the predators play the stars. saw not one single car tinted legally. NOT ONE. NOT ONE.

every car I saw that had film, was tinted !llegally. it was so bad, my wife even noticed it. there's lots of !llegally tinted cars in texas, but in a parking lot, probably half, or more, are tinted legal. I couldn't find one anywhere I went in tennessee.

what's the deal? they just not inforce the law there? or does no one care? or both?

and what's the deal with the freakin eyebrows? every car had an eyebrow covering half the damn windshield. :bingo that's so 80's.

according to tennessee law, you can only have 35% NET on every window of a car. every car I saw was WAY darker than that.

and the MANY eyebrows I saw were WAY past the AS1 line.

maybe you don't look at cars like I do. that's all I do when I'm out, look at cars--in parking lots, at stop lights, the guy getting gas next to me at the gas station, etc. drives my wife completely bonkers. :dunno

the way you act is how I act when visiting California no wonder they wrote out 4 million in fines back in 03 for !llegal tint.

Imagine that :lol6

Take some time to smell the roses TTS, lifes to short Man. Besides if you didn't tint it there is nothing you can do about it anyway so why get all worked up about it :dunno just doesn't seem worth it to me. I would rather put my energy and efforts into something I can do something about but that's just me

      help arquitectural in Puerto Rico heat

      Hi, new to the forum but a previous lurker. Was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on tints for a business in Puerto Rico who's windows face north (humidity 80% temp 70-100). Main concern is heat reduction though i would like for it to not be super dark since it is a work area. Have not contacted installers yet since I wanted to have some knowledge about products and specs beforehand to make sure im getting what i need. Thank you! From what i've gathered i should look out for: dual reflective film and low absorptive/high solar reflection products used this topic among others for research: "should be a go-to such as: 3M's Night Vision15 or NV25, Vista Film's Dual Reflective18 or DR 28, LLumar's DR15 or DR25 (which closely matches 3M NV), or Madico's Optivision in and around the same number assignment. The numbers assigned to films represent the visible light transmission of the product." "The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat."

      It looks like the end of the roll was used which has adhesive marks from being attached to the plastic core. You can't use the very end of the film roll.

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!
