Befuddled !

Had an appointment to get the suspension on the car checked, every bushing and component front and rear, as the car has a horrible shaking from the back end, but not all the time.

Then, I remebered that it had the same issue from the fornt end, and it was the front rotors.

So, ran the car in reverse, stepped on the brakes, and felt the pedal pulsing, so going to replace the rear rotors and see if that might cure it.

Called the Dealer to cancel the appointment for tomorrow, and the guy was really befuddled !

"You are calling to cancel?"

Me "yes, something came up and will have to reshcedule"

He sounded amazed and was thanking me profusely for my consideration, but, it IS the right thing to do !

He even said, he wil cut the diagnostic fee by 25% when we reshcedule.

Is it that uncommon to show consideration if a person cannot make an appointment to let the place know 24 hours in advance ?

Yes! That is why I always grab a cell number and send a generic reminder text. This greatly cut down on the no shows . It either reminded them and kept the schedule in tact or it gave me enough notice to I didn't have an empty shop not producing $$

I always appreciate the heads up from a custy. I always have dealer work I can squeeze in to openings. I don't think I could manage to give a discount for it though.

Still got the shaking from the back of the car, might snag a driveshaft from the wrecking

yard, might cure the issue....
