from outside a 20 will still probably look more even due to clear windshield

tundras meter 23 in the back from the one i tested yesterday and qdp20 meters 20 exactly on the front  doors

if the glass is same colour as tundra  QDP20 is almost identical match

i have a 2016 XE sedan booked in tomorrow, normally i pop or pull panels. Is there anything i need to be careful with?

also will a hybrid metalised film be alright on rear window for antenna? my films are normally good for am and fm radio on other cars.

anyone got links to pics of vids of door trim removal ?

i will take photos as i go of anything i need to pull apart and i will update this thread but id love to see what im up against before i go poking around expensive trims

I popped the tops of trims back and masked up the felt for the doors, back window does not give a whole lot of space inside the car as window is on a big slope so i suggest using more slip!


Use a bone tool to pry plastic trim around door handle off, be careful around bottom middle clip it is tight just needs some wriggling as you pry




Undo torx head screw (forget what size)


pry back side of trim on back door and front of trim on front door to start popping the top


this doesn't need a lot of force thankfully but the back edge of the front door trims  be careful as they have something holding them in more than just a clip, don't force it you can get the seal out with it popped back 3/4 of an inch

remember to use a lot of slip with back window and clean the glass real well you don't want to do it twice.



 

fusion 38 rears, fusion 18 front doors thats the closest you will get with fusion otherwise fusion 33 front doors they will meter around 26-27%

its always difficult to match privacy glass exactly even if its light privacy glass like the everest / ranger

simple, hire a hooker put a squeegee in her hand and give her money

the problem with pre inspections is if you do miss something and then they see it later then you did it no matter what in their eyes. I recently got blamed for vertical scratches in the 1 window i retinted for the customer, scratches on the outside of the window  and well voer 100 of them side by side from dirt in the outside rubber as the window has gone up and down over its 15 years it has been on the road for. he got angry at me and i lsot it at him and said 2 options, i rip the tint off now and you leave immediately  or you pay now and leave with a perfectly tinted window, i also offered to get an autoglass company in to inspect these scratches for him which he declined

Thats a good way about business 35! gotta act keen, i just dont know where to locate builders offices as most  builders in my part of sydney operate their office from their residential house not so much big office buildings. i do get a bit of work iv had my business for 5.5 years now and got a good name for it in the area its just more about getting big jobs, thats the hard part, networking is most likely the key to that.

I just did a similar 1 way for a mechanic too i put down solargard hp22 then JPW DN20EXT on top i used these films because i had them laying around and charged peanuts for the job

Yep use johnsons so this does require sealing so i plan to get back there saturday to seal them all, what film doesn't require sealing ? be interesteing to see how long it actually lasts without being sealed, would be so much easier especially  with ladder or other high access work needed

Daz what film did you use for one way vision? i used some scenic view 10 in a gym office but the light source was far too great in the office itself so really didn't work well and i dont tihnk anything would work well with more light on the side you want hidden

i reallly really hate exterior film
have to go back to seal the edges and all panels were done in SS20 EXT but it looked awesome with just the middle panels done.
